When David says annual cold, he means he has it all year long.

Why do people concern themselves whether or not David has a cold? Are you here to listen to their opinions regarding the game or not?
@MahoyEdm.Gardens1972-cx8qv4 күн бұрын
I'm being serious here: I have watched and listened to the podcast for years. If you have a forced-air furnace in your home David, please ensure that you are changing the filters regularly, during the winter months. Myself, and many friends and acquaintances, have agreed that it makes a noticeable difference to air quality, and so, respiratory health, when a quality filter is installed. I would recommend a Merv 11 or Merv 13 air filter. Hospitals use a Merv 13 or even a Merv 14. Good luck with it.

The Oilers should have started Picks in this trap game, or at least pulled Skinner after the 3rd goal. Can we all agree it's time for Connor Brown to head back to the 3rd line?
@ianjackson33465 күн бұрын
Yes. Seems to me that pass on the first could have been a goal. I don't think he was prepared enough. Would of changed the outcome of the game, I think. Try Jeff Skinner, now

No wrong. 30% of his goals are. Nate Mac assists on them. Probably 10pts each.

Game 41. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones like the Cult of Hockey compiles. PITIFUL. The first 25 minutes really were PITIFUL. I'm amazed they didn't mercy pull Skinner (though most of the first 3 goals weren't necessarily his fault as the Oilers decided to NOT play defense (for no reason I can think of)). They were outplayed, simple as that and they deserved to loose. Positives: Leon got 2 more goals, Connor got 3 assists, Vegas lost to the New York Islanders (4-0 shutout), we're still in 2nd place in the Pacific (though LA is 2 points back with 3 games in hand due to the wildfires). Next Up, Chicago. If they don't learn the lesson and not do this stuff again (start slow and pitifully with zero defense) they deserve to loose, remember that. Every team can win on any night. Take care all.

Bouchard brutal on the first goal against (What's new). Kulak horrible on the 2nd and 3rd. The problem with this team is how are they going to handle high offensive playoff teams that still play HEAVY. Until that is solved you're going into battles with a glass cannon. Everything up to that point is superficial analysis and outcomes.
@MahoyEdm.Gardens1972-cx8qv4 күн бұрын
Many people, including myself, who have watched the NHL and the Oilers for years, have a tendency to forget that the regular season is a lot different than the playoffs. There are fewer penalties called, especially when protecting the goal crease. Therefore, strong physical players cannot use all the tools they posses during the regular season, as they are much more likely to get penalized. Big, strong, defensive defensemen, can get away with more, and so can contribute more in the post season.

Started watching at 4-1. Saw a solid second, we didn't have much of a team game tonight. Thought a lot of the guys were off but we were due for a loss. I think a little of the issue wasn't losing but looking at the standings and seeing Vegas and the Kings winning every game. 15-4-1 run though so no need to start a fire or anything. and I know for a fact everyone is absolutely worried about facing Vegas in the playoffs as the road team. And if they aren't they're crazy. And I feel that should be the topic of discussion here.

not catching Vegas as the Golden Knights have the easiest schedule out of all teams based on current opponents winning percentage. Oilers need to work on consistency.

The lack of intensity level before the game even starts in an issue with this team. They are notorious slow starters. It's a mindset, and it trickles down from the top.

Skinner hung out to dry far to long far to often. But if the Pens goalie was fantastic, a real#1 starter looking game. If not for that level of goaltending, Oilers may well have made the comeback. Not a good game for Oil, but it's a no big deal game imo. Vasilly Podgoalsin, you gota stop differing the play. SHOOT the dam puck when you have an opportunity, You have the tools and the shot. It's time to take the next step and get determined to fire some pucks in. imo. lol.
