I wish someone from my office could have listened to that part on insurance verification and prior authorization BEFORE a patient is seen and how it affects revenue, that is such an issue for me and it is frustrating.🙄

I just signed up for this Contempo Coding (5.7.24). Great podcast with Missy Kershner. Nice to know about upcoming E books on coding. I am learning "old school" I think in the ICD 10 book. Learning through CareerSteps curriculum. Id also like to know how I can get a foot in the door at a medical facility to be in a medical environment while I'm finishing up this program. And also needing to know: for a Plan B, what my options would be for work if I can't pass the "bleeping" exam. This has me feeling kind of nervous and anxious. Thank you for any input. I have done billing and now into coding. I love med coding & billing. I see all kinds of lazy medical coding abstractions...overuse of unspecified dx, not be detailed when documentation is there and add Z dx codes first for claims when they are not encounter first listed dx codes!! Eek !!! What a waste of time and funds lost.
