I think the key difference between the Left and the Right is that the Left prefers the older broadcast media whereas the Right prefers the two-way communications of the Internet. That is, the Right was not kicked off the broadcast media, it found the two-way communication offered by the Internet more attractive.

Isn't that tripartite hierarchy similar to Plato's? Gold for the rulers, silver for the noble caretakers (firemen, generals, lawmakers, etc,) and brass or iron for the artisans, husbandmen and craftsmen.

Michael, awesome interview! Serious Catholic content is mixed with well timed pithy humor 👌. But if I may offer just one piece of feedback … when the interviewer asks towards the end “What advice would you offer a college student considering a career in politics?” I think (St.) Thomas More would answer “Have you yet discerned a call to Catholic religious life?” If the best reward of an authentically Catholic statesman is eternal life and eternal glory, it seems the shortest and objectively surest route to Heaven ought to be considered first - religious life. The caveat to this advice is that I’ve not read the whole Summa Theologica and may be missing something. But St. Thomas More first pursued an ecclesiastical vocation before he switched course and pursued civil law. Just an observation so you can perhaps polish up an already outstandingly brilliant CATHOLIC and CONSERVATIVE sword! ⚔️ ⛪️ ❤️🔥 👑

I have a difference of opinion about Thomas Aquinus. He is a philosopher who pushed gnosticism into Christianity. And becoming a part of the philosophical graph work of socialism. Being an influence on Hegel and Immanuel Kant, who then influenced Marx, Engles and Henri Saint-Simon.

Michael is brilliant. He’s wasting his talents at the DW. Or at the very least, being a political pundit. He should have his own series like Dr. Peterson has on the DW.

I'm shocked to the core. This is the first time for me to hear Michael Knowles speak in normal tone, without provocative statements and ugly facial expressions, extremely dumb topics and opinions that rival conspiracy theories. Which means he plays a character on Daily Wire. I could have sworn that he was just dumb like Dave Rubin, but he's actually really smart person. Likeable even.
@MirandaHutlet-wr1bw20 күн бұрын
If you watch his long-format interviews on The Daily Wire he has a similar tone. I’ve seen many interviews he’s done in which his natural intelligence and breadth of knowledge shine!
@hkray198819 күн бұрын
@@MirandaHutlet-wr1bw I didn't know that. I saw few shorter ones on TikToks, demons, yoga and astrology. And he was rather obnoxious in each and every one of them. I just assumed he's a comic relief of DW, and Matt Walsh is the serious one. I like the real Michael.
@DrewDrawed19 күн бұрын
Michael is definitely the serious one. You might only be seeing his provocative clips, but I do find his show challenging. while he may be discussing some derpy cultural issue of the day, he’s applying these principles that you see on display here to those issues. The God and Man at Yale discussion convinced me that there's men who sit around and talk about culture while making zero impact on it, and men like Matt Walsh who are out there creating it. I've stopped listening to Knowles since.
@danielr312721 күн бұрын
You do realize some people, like Knowles and Robert P. George, have a vocation primarily to teach culture rather than simply building it, which by the way is necessary because you need to understand what culture you should create before you attempt to create it. Plus, political commentary and professorship is part of the way you create a better culture. Either way, you can’t do everything with equal intensity.
