I think its kind of an odd thread through some of his career, it started with him being killed by a guy with blades coming out of his glove, then he had blades for hands, then he played Sweeney Todd, who when he finally reduscovered his razors, says "At last, my arm is complete again!" Hmm. Interesting. ❤

Merry Christmas, Everybody! I love this movie. It is one of my favorite movies around the Holidays. I literally cried knowing Edward was still sculpting ice sculptures and basically providing the snow. This movie really shows you that people fear what they don't understand. Everyone liked Edward until one person takes advantage of him and lies to the whole town making him again an outcast, I have to take a moment and appreciate MOTHA Winona Ryder as a blonde is just chef's kiss she is beautiful I find it weird people questioned that beauty when she did "Heathers" ( some did not think she was "pretty enough"). Random I just noticed the here and the houses from cat in the hat look pretty similar I wonder was both filmed in the same location.

The chemistry between Winona and Johnny was real in this. This is where they met, and they started dating. They dated for years, and had a tempestuous, passionate romance, even got engaged, but it finally fell apart.He was very devoted to her. It's kind of funny (but not really funny) he had even gotten a tattoo,"Winona forever" - but after they broke up for the thousandth time, he changed it to "Wino forever". 😂 You gotta love Johnny Depp. Love Winona Ryder.

Major takeaways from this film: Johnny Depp’s first time of what would be many playing an odd character for Burton! One of Vincent Prices last roles. ‘It’s not unusual’ playing is foreshadowing MARS ATTACKS which is one of Burton’s odder movies. (And that’s sayin’ something!) AND the opening music was used for the trailer for Series of Unfortunate Events. No huge attachment to that movie it’s just I watched SpongeBob movie all the time as a boy and that trailer was at the beginning. Also you two should totally watch Sleepy Hollow I’d put it in the category of films like The Mummy of 1999 of how it goes against the source material but is one Helluva ride!

I was a senior in high school back when this came up and holy crap were we shook by Anthony Michael Hall in this going from his earlier geek roles to this beefy jock bully! It was so bizarre! He really surprised a lot of people! 😲 Either way, Johnny Depp and Winona are AMAZING in this. And despite the melancholy, I still oddly find this film somewhat comforting and heartwarming! Glad you guys finally got to see it! ❤ (And bonus points for recognizing Vincent Price -- who often played baddies, so seeing him as a sweet old guy was almost as much of a shock for the audience as Anthony Michael Hall's transformation!)
