This was a great guide! Very helpful as I never tried to solo Deadmines before. Now that I've done it I have a few tips / recommendations: - Use the same strat to kill Captain Greenskin beforehand. It will give you some more space to play with. - If you're an engineer, use a Target Dummy right after Evasion ends to do even more damage before you need to jump down (it shares a CD with Thistle Tea btw). I was able to kill VC once the 2nd Dummy came off CD

Thank you so much for this guide. Before I did not know this is possible solo. I had some problems with delayed mobs. So I took some more minutes to clear all mobs. There was just VanCleef and his 2 assassins left. This worked out for me. And sword drop first try ;)

added note, if you F this up and try to pull van cleef again too soon you will be dealing with 4 adds in P1 instead of the usual 2

3:18 from the bottom flore you can get onto the big wheel that acts as a reset spot and makes it easy to clear out the floor

If u got better bandages and you are running the deadly brew build you can do a little bit of damage before getting your evasion and make the fight faster. Tank spec most likely is also beneficial but did not test that myself.

Just curious as to why you don't kill the mobs on the top of the ship too? If you dont have all those extra mobs hitting you maybe you could get the kill within 2 rotations?

If you zone out of the exit by the rear exit, you can simply reset and fight Vancleef again, correct?

you have to jump down a cliff before zoning out, unless im mistaken. i stealthed back into the mine after killing VC and did the log-out skip back to entrance by using a digger tool in the mine.

which door? All the doors should be able to open from the front. Remember, the door switches are to the left side of the door when you're walking in, on the ground

On a nightelf you can instantly shadowmeld when you open the door and avoid pulling the boss. Use a macro that puts you directly go to prowl. Ez peasy.

Didn't work for me, his 2 shadow assassins sligthly delayed the run around so they weren't in the sync with Edwin. So they would always arrive few seconds earlier before the next drop down which made it impossible to reheal. Much easier to find a group and play it normally instead of spending 1hr hoping everything works as in the video.

Worked for me. If you used his spec then imp gouge let's the pack catch up. I had sync issues too but still doable. You can use dynamite to break then out or simply melee and they no longer sneak

Just pop evasion before the first mob hits you. Anything after the first rotation (when you're fighting just vancleef and his two elites), you will have to be tanking 8-10 elites on top of vancleef, but you should be able to evasion tank for a while before you have to jump down.

What is your PvP spec? At level 25, with so few talent points to spend, you really can't afford to be spending any talent points on improved stealth/stealth speed or vanish CD. IMO even for PvP you should be running combat with improved sprint

Maybe two days after launch, not a lot of people were high level yet, and wild steelblooms were selling for a lot, around 75silver to 1g EACH, and not a lot of people in stonetalon mountains were farming them yet, which is where I got the bulk of my gold. Since then, my gold has steadily declined lol

I did this today and Blizzard fixed it. At the first door, you can no longer reach the lever, its just grey. Wont let you open it anymore i guess without killing the boss.

you can ignore greenskin just keep jumping down from the top deck while van cleef is below deck.
