Amazon's eero 6+ review with a speed rating of AX3000. Testing out the max speeds on the eero 6+ with a local speed test server. Testing out an internet speed test with speedtest.net and maximum range test. The eero 6+ mesh wifi router uses Wi-Fi 6 making it an amazing affordable mesh wifi system. Performing an eero 6+ speed test on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Comparing the various options that are possible with this mesh Wifi system. Is this best mesh wifi 2022?

I watched this 6+ review and your long term Pro 6 review. Both incredibly detailed amazing videos. I’m planning on buying just 1 router for my home, if both were the same price would you recommend the 6+ or the Pro 6 as a single router for a home? (40ish wireless devices, 2,100 sq ft 2 floors)

I have the eero 6+, but have not installed them yet, are they going to be better than my knight hawk 5400? The reason I ordered them, was because of getting my internet freezing, as I was waiting their arrive,I changed my cat6 cable to the modem, no problems since. The knight hawk is 4 years old , I have about 15 different products, cameras, iPhones, laptops and two smart tvs , I get 270-387 mbps download and 127 mbps uploads. Really stuck on decision to replace my knighhawk , suggestions?

Hey! Stumbled upon your videos when researching the Eero. Question. I have a longer house and may need to wirelessly daisy chain extenders, so it’d be router>extender>extender. Can I do this and what speeds would I expect if I did this?
@DennisFromSouthFlorida
@DennisFromSouthFlorida Жыл бұрын
Yes you can. The extenders are called beacons. Or any of the regular units can be used as extenders or beacons as they all work wirelessly as well as wired. When you use them wirelessly, expect about half the speed of a wired connection.

I'm on a slow DSL connection with limited bandwidth. I bought the original Amazon Eero mesh to resolve my bufferblaot problems which it did. However my ISP does not support bridge mode only PPoE, which the original Eero does not support, so now it's on double NAT. Is it worth getting the Eero 6 just for PPoE bridge mode or would I see no real benefit? Games and things still work fine as I have forwared UPnP and DMZ.

Question. I’ve watched many of your reviews and I’m having a hard time deciding which mesh network to go with. I pay for gigabit speeds from my isp and my isp router supports those speeds. What would your recommendation be for a mesh network in the $250-$300 price range?

I haven’t used this one since I’ve reviewed it. I am genuinely impressed with this 6+, much more so than the Pro 6E. You can’t go wrong with this, however my favorite budget mesh is the new Deco XE75 (2 pack) or XE5300 (3 pack)

I've had Eero's for several years and would not recommend. I do have a fairly large space and lots of connected devices. With an update they made last year, the Eero drops connection every few minutes across many devices (Roku, iPhone, Macs, Wemo's). If you Google "Eero dropping Internet connection" or "Eero dropping Wifi" you will see tons of posts and complaints. Eero/Amazon has to be aware of this well-known issue but they have not fixed it. And before you ask, I have tried all of the recommended fixes... and none of them work. This is just an FYI for your users from a long-time Eero customer with no agenda. Believe me, I wish these things worked. They will leave you with nothing but frustration.
@landpet
@landpet Жыл бұрын
I believe it, I just haven’t had any issues with it. The interesting thing is that various people comment on other mesh systems not working as well, it really just depends. You can search drops for other mesh systems and thing will pop up as well.

Hey! I want to get an eero for my parents. They have a 1,900 square foot house with the router nicely placed in the middle of the house in the office. They don’t have many devices. Just typical phones, tablet and Roku. Would you get a single eero Pro 6 $183 or single eero 6+ for $118 (or eero 6 for $75). Their plan is only 200 up and 10 down. Mostly want to be range covers the house. Thanks!!

@landpet Thanks so much for the advice on my comment on the Eero Pro 6E video. Just as I was about to make my decision, I was looking on Costco and saw that a new 6E Tp-link Deco mesh system appears to have been released? Costco"s model designation for it is the AXE5300 but looking on TP-link's website I think it's the same as their new AXE5400? So further muddying the waters... Lol Do you have any thoughts on those new ones? 😉👍

No worries. It's funny you mentioned that cause that's the next one I'm testing. The top black portion looks a bit different but the specs do seem to closely match the XE75.

I am getting 320 mbps download and 898 mbps upload on them on my ISP gigabit plan. Any idea why my download speeds are that low? I have 4 eero 6+ nodes connected via wired backhaul in my home. One of them is connected directly to the network box of my ISP. The other port of the gateway eero is connected to a Netgear unmanaged switch. From there, ethernet cables are connected from it to my smart home ethernet switch that connects to the other eeros in different rooms of my house. I have connected an ethernet cable from the network box of my ISP to my computer and I got the full gigabit speeds on it. So I know the problem is not my ISP. What should be the problem? I do want to add that I have the eeros in bridge mode because my ISP recommended me to do so because the ISP's network box can't be in bridge mode because the ISP told me that it needed to be in its current state because of the fiber's configuration.
@landpet
@landpet Жыл бұрын
I’m not a fan of that method, that might be the issue right there. It’s difficult to diagnose issues when there is setup like that hence why I recommend setting it up in bridge mode. From my experience, talking to ISPs, a decent amount of them don’t really fully comprehend how networks work (at least that’s been my experience). They’ve also been trained to tell their customers to use their own hardware so they can diagnose it if there are issues which is what I was told as well. I simply got an ONT from them and I did not use their provided router. Everything has been working smoothly for me. It’s your choice, you can call them and ask them to replace your ONT with one that doesn’t have a router built in or disable it entirely. The fact you’re in wired backhaul, you should be getting full speeds with anything connected via Ethernet.
