That's one thing I was thinking about? Where's the yeast? Anyway, it looks dense as hell to me. I guess I'll have to try it. I was also wondering if it "toasts," if you know what I mean. I saw her "bagel thin" type of sandwich bread and I have to admit that product it pretty low. Most likely, if you're making this bread, you're "keto" which is fine, but the diet it not for me (at all). I'm just not one for that lifestyle...it's all a matter of "taste," right? But, this bread looks pretty good, I have to say. Hard to see it being made with all those egg products and not tasting "eggy." That's totally weird, but I guess the answer is that the second egg component is the egg powder. If we're putting that in, and we're making bread, after all, why not put in yeast if we can get away with it? It guess it's your calorie goal? But, in any event, I'd love to know that the yeast worked and actually made it better. I guess your post shows you think it does, right? :) Also, I'd love to know...Does it toast? :D LMK Thanks!

I just finished making my 2nd loaf of this bread just now. Fabulous! I couldn't be more pleased. The only thing I changed from my first attempt was that I cut the 1/4 cup allulose to 1 tablespoon. Not only did the bread brown just as well as the first, I found the crust to be more flakey and not as "chewy/rubbery" as the first loaf I made. Also, I tried adding yeast (per a post below) to the first loaf which I thought gave it a bit of an aftertaste that stuck with me for several hours. This loaf (#2) had no yeast at all and the aftertaste was gone. Finally, I did use Wegman's brand egg whites in a carton for both loafs. Here's the deal, if you use egg whites in a carton, be prepared to let it mix for 45 min to an hour (on high speed) in order to get it to the shaving cream consistency. Be patient because it will happen. I just had my first bacon-cheeseburger on bread with ketchup & mustard in six months. It was absolutely fabulous for a grand total of less than 4 carbs all in! Man this is a game changer for me! THANK YOU Indigo Nili! By the way, this Heinz ketchup has just one carb per tablespoon and tastes delish! Fyi, if you or others have no objection to almond flour, on experimenting with this recipe and your others I found a very satisfying texture by adding 1 cup of almond flour at the same time i add the egg white powder. I also added some arrowroot and 2/3 tsp baking soda to the liquid egg whites in addition to the listed ingredients when whipping. Its less choking with a better bread texture and it toasts in a toaster very well but toasts quickly. 😊

Here is one that I just made, twice, that worked perfectly each time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXrIZ4d_pJqBe5I . The recipe is simple, quick, and easy and contains only commonly-available ingredients. I have only made it in a hamburger bun baking pan, so far, but a loaf pan would work just as well. Just FYI, the batter/dough rises by about 2X, after it's in the oven. It requires no rise time before baking and only takes about 15 minutes in a 350F oven, for buns at least. That channel also has at least four other low-carb (no wheat) bread recipes, and lots of other keto recipes.

If you want another method of separating egg whites from yolks try your bare hand. Step 1: Crack the egg with one hand into the other hand. Step 2: Slightly open a gap between your middle and ring finger. Step 3: Give it a tight shake. Moving your hand horizontal an inch or less left to right quickly. Like when you kick a spring door stop, boyoyoyong. You will quickly develop the ability to feel the difference between an egg white, egg yolk, and the little tether and membranes between them. There's no dishes, more room in your drawer, and it's multiple times faster.

Could I suggest some tips? Try to add the powder when the eggwhites are already a bit whipped, then whip the eggwhites just until the 70% of them, then add the dried whites and mix just until they are incorporated. This way you will have a bigger puff in the oven. Then it would be interesting to let the eggbread cool down upside down, so it will maintain the puffness, just like a panettone...

This looks phenomenal. I have been looking all over for a good bread substitute and they so far have been flops. I’m going to order the egg white powder and try this this week. Thanks for the great video. Those egg pans looks great also. I wonder if they would work for baking up the bread into little flat breads? That would be more to my liking.

The silicone pans do work for bread rounds. Just make sure to mound them up high so they don't end up too thin

Mmm...meringue bread. I would make this (even have the liquid and powdered egg whites ready to go), but I'm fasting right now, so maybe later.

This Bread looks Delicious! I would say it reminds me of "Angelfood cake" yet is firmer with a Crust! Instead of your husband's name for it: try "Egg White Loaf or Bread"...sounds more inviting! Thanks for thus Fabulous Recipe...I'm Sharing it with my Family to bake! 😁👏🍞❤❤❤

I thought of Angel Food cake texture, too. Looking forward to making it. Thx, Indigo Nili !

How about just calling it angel loaf. If it's a decent loaf, thank Heaven & our presenter; if it makes an angel-food cake THAT is a miracle! My 90 year old mother loves angel food cake but won't have it because of the sugar. THANK YOU ALL for some great ideas!!

Your loaf looks inviting. Even more than Maria's. Was wondering, have you ever made half the recipe? If so, what were your results? Also have you ever used the JayRobb's unflavored protein powder as seen in Maria's Video's?
@IndigoNili3 жыл бұрын
I have made half of a batch and it worked just fine. No, I haven't tried JayRobb. It's so expensive!
@vsulyzt3 жыл бұрын
@@IndigoNili aaah yes it is pricey! I really want to try this, but want to start modestly. I already have Jay Robb and six eggs is much less to ruin (hopefully not) than is 12 egg whites.

Thank you - this video helped me trouble shoot all the issues I was having whisking the egg whites and adding things at the wrong time - and thank you for the breakfast sandwich “how to” as well, looks amazing with the silicone molds

Low Carb Revolution Rolls (Oopsie Rolls) Yields: 6 servings (Each serving: 1.0 g Net Carbs) Ingredients: (all ingredients are at room temperature) 3 egg yolks 3 tbsps cream cheese, mayo, or sour cream 1 sachet sweetener pinch of salt 3 egg whites 1/8 tsp cream of tartar Directions: Preheat the oven to 355°F/180°C. (Notes: You may also bake them at lower heat, 300°F/150°C for about 30 minutes.) Whisk egg yolks, cream cheese, sweetener and salt in a bowl until well blended. In another clean bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then add in cream of tartar and beat on high speed until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the egg whites to the egg yolk mixture until just blended, be very careful not to break the egg whites down. Fill the batter into a greased 6-cup muffin top pan (or silicone baking mat/lined cookie sheet). Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Use to make sandwiches or burgers, or serve on its own with some extra sweetener. They taste fine - nothing weird or strange.

For the first 3 months of going LCHP I was searching for these kinds of substitutes & gave up. That was 3 years ago. I have to revisit things after seeing this video. I would lover this with over easy eggs in the morning.

There are some recipes that add in a egg yolk or 2 at the end but they had additional stabilizers like xanthan gum
