You can but it can affect the texture and taste too. Try with curd instead, you will not regret using it. Its going to be the softest muffins ever. :)

Can I use self raising flour instead of all-purpose flour?
@deepaliohri2 жыл бұрын
No and yes both. No because, If your recipe asks for plain or self-raising flour, it is important to remember that these two ingredients are not interchangeable and you should use the flour recommended in the recipe along with any raising agents, such as baking powder or bicarbonate of soda. Yes, You can change to self-raising for plain flour in recipes - and vice versa - but you will need to tweak some of your other ingredients to compensate. self-raising flour could be subbed in to plain flour recipes by reducing or removing raising agents (baking powder or baking soda) in the ingredients list. Hope this helps

Hey deeps...was hunting for a eggless recipe to teach my toddler...got urs...thanks.... A question.....are muffin and cupcake batters different or same?
@deepaliohri4 жыл бұрын
It depends upon the recipe dear. Otherwise muffin is a cupcake without icing and also muffins can be sweet and salted both but a cupcake is always sweet. 😊👍

Chocolate syrup will not give the same taste but you can try! Its all about experimenting! Will try to post a chocolate muffin recipe without cocoa powder. I cant understand 1 thing. After we keep mixture aside for 5 min, and then adding oil and escence, you mixed it well again then this may take out air bubbles formed during resting isn't it?? This will hard the cake mam . If no then why?
@deepaliohri5 жыл бұрын
No it will not harden the cake. This time is required for baking soda to react with the curd/yoghurt which is an important step too.
@barwalgayatri46555 жыл бұрын
@@deepaliohri yes I am not talking about rest time( keeping it for rest will incorporate air bubbles which is must for fluffy cake ) . I am talking about mixing well after adding oil. This will take out all the air bubbles which were incorporated by keeping it on rest .
@deepaliohri5 жыл бұрын
Thats why I recommend to fold gently after adding the flour. Cakes and muffins are tough if we mix the batter too much after adding the flour. This recipe makes super soft muffins. Try the recipe and you will come to know. 😊Happy baking!

Is the sugar powdered
@deepaliohri6 жыл бұрын
Basically it was granulated sugar but with big granules so I blended it in a mixer but it was not powdered thoroughly, sort of coarse. You can take powder sugar too but little bit more than the quantity mentioned in the recipe for the granulated one.
