Hi Dr. Aimee, This is one of the best videos I have watched yet and I've seen and love sooooo many! What a great guest! Can you do a video that touches on the damage that (exogenous) testosterone can have on infertility from the males side? Long term damage? Short term damage? How to help heal sperm production? Thank you sooo much and much love!! Brandi

I would love to see a video on how autoimmune diseases affect infertility. I’m 36 years old and have asthma and Alopecia Areata Universalis and have been told after my one and only embryo failed to implant that my egg quality is the cause. My doctor said that if we want to have children soon then we need to use donor eggs. My husband has low motility as well. During my only FET cycle my uterine lining only made it to 7.6 and then started dropping. We tried PRP to thicken the lining as well as acupuncture, castor oil packs and drinking bone broth. What are the chances that inflammation could be the cause of the transfer not working? My doctor hasn’t done any tests to see why my lining isn’t thickening up or if my inflammation is too high. He also had a difficult time inserting the embryo and doing a saline ultrasound. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are trying supplements to increase our egg quality and sperm health before trying another retrieval. Thanks!

my lining was 8.9 my last monitoring apt (my last ivf cycle) although it was good for fresh transfer i drank pom juice which thickened it more. however my first fresh failed i’m currently on day 3 of stims for another retrieval

Hi dr. Aimee! Great video! Thank you for all this information. I’m 40 and out of 4 blastocyst I had 3 genetically normal. Just had a failed transfer and on a day of my transfer there were fluid in my uterus. We don’t know why or what is cousin it. I never had any issues with fluid and that was the very first time I had it. I only have one tube due to ectopic pregnancy. Would you say this fluid was from estrogen or my tube? My doctor said cervix is ok. I was just curious to hear your opinion. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Marinela

Should most or all follicles contain an egg? My wife has had 2 x IVF cycles. 1st cycle - 9 follicles, 2 eggs retrieved. 2nd cycle 8 follicles, 4 eggs retrieved. Does that indicate poor response to stimulation or a low ovarian reserve (amh is 1.1)? We're wondering if IVF is suitable for us or are we better off to just keep trying naturally. Thanks!

not all follicles contain an egg. also some follicles can contain more than one egg. it just varies

@@ambielove7584 Follicle is like a safe-box within which the egg is being protected; there is only one egg in each follicle; however, sometimes, follicles are not visualized clearly on ultrasound prior to the egg retrieval due to a variety of reasons and for example despite the fact that only 2-3 follicles were "seen", we may retrieve 4 or 5 eggs as additional follicles became visible during the egg retrieval; when the patient is under anesthesia, the physician can push the probe without having to worry about causing too much discomfort. On the other hand, sometimes, the egg within the follicle has gone bad (degenerated) and therefore we retrieve no egg from that follicle during the retrieval

thank you dr. question day 5 i had 4 embryos that were pushed an extra day (day 6) because they were at stage before blastocyst but day 6 they still didn’t reach blastocyst would a 3 day fresh be better for me i did transfer a 3aa blastocyst 5 day fresh transfer but it didn’t stick also have one 4bc on ice currently stimming (4 night of stims) for a second retrieval also my only factor is one blocked tube (mid segment) with this being said what add ons would u suggest for a better chance at embryo sticking as my first fresh transfer i did hcg wash and body massage 24 hrs prior to transfer i’m considering another fresh transfer any advice on add ons would be great:)

He never talks about in genetic testing you can throw away a good embryo thinking it was bad
