EGR Replacement | 98 Mercedes-Benz CLK 320

I am replacing the EGR valve on this 98 Mercedes so the vehicle will pass state inspection.

Good job, but I found that the tube going into the engine was totally clogged the 1st time I had to clean everything out to pass emissions on a 1998 c280. A year & a half later, I am replacing the egr, & cleaning the tube out again. I removed the tube with the egr still attached. You just got to figure out the combo to get it out. The rubber y conn def has to come off to do this. But not removing it is probably the best idea if it’s letting the proper amount pass through. Thanks for the video. It’s a difficult car to work on. Especially the plugs $ wires. All about the right magnetic socket . I found out the hard way on that. 👍🏻

You can just clean it, or you can try to find a cheaper one online like ebay, or rockauto

The check engine light and the car needed to pass inspection, so I went ahead to replace it.
