In my 38 years of ministry I have experienced all eight reasons. Thanks for the encouraging words. If it were not for God's call and the kind of koinonia demonstrated here, I would have opted out of ministry long ago. But I am blessed!

Pastor is a ministry not an office. There are only 2 offices mentioned in new testament, Elder and deacon.

You need to think about what your saying Thom there ain't a man on this earth that can revitalize a church , Only God can do that,not some spoiled preacher. I was song leader for 15 years and served under 7 pastors that were called to Gods Church . Man will never be ready to lead revitalization ,only God can do that . It takes preaching the word and teaching the word ,and not from 40 days of purpose ,but from the Bible .
