I've been in a leadership role for fifteen years, taken many courses, read many books, but none come close to the tips provided on your channel.

Excellent video, like usual! One item that can be improved is when you say "24/7" at 5:20 or so, the graphic says 27/7.

Oh no. Thanks for picking this up ! Unfortunately I can't change it as the video is already published. But I'll take note for future.

Hi Kara, I really like your video. I did not see anyone in the comments to ask for a video on negative feedback. I would be grateful if you did. I am new to being a manager and I struggle with negative feedback or what I like to call it constructive criticism. To the point that they can get offended. I try to be clear and concise and say it in a positive way. But that can be difficult when I am inundated with multiple projects with high priorities at the same time.

Hi Paul, Thanks for your question. I actually have a video on my channel about giving negative feedback. You can access it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmWXiaiqnJ6EoNU It can be difficult to give negative feedback, especially if the other person doesn't take it the right way. It makes it harder for you the next time around. Try the tips in the negative feedback video and let me know if this helps.

Being not ready to be a leader is a symptom of the problem not the root of the problem. Your message, though well intended, is an after the fact conversation. The school teachers community continues to do a dismal job of preparing young people to be future leaders. If your are sincere about creating leaders add the resolution of this lack to your agenda. I’m a retired combat veteran that mentors young people to become wealthy by the age of 40. I have assisted 9 so far. I teach them to “learn it like you are going to teach it.” They in turn share with others such as them to continue this philosophy. Leadership is a lack of knowledge not a lack of intention.

I would recommend reframing negative feedback to constructive feedback; it's a better way to look at the intention even if you have to give tough news

Hi Kara, I'm new to your videos but am finding them very helpful, so thank you for the great content. Being a new(ish) leader I do find it difficult providing ngegative feedback becuae I'm a persuader and stabilizer by personality. Having some insight to providing negative feedback in a positive way would be very helpful!

Fantastic JK! Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching. Feedback is certainly a tricky area. I'm planning to do a video on this the next time I film, so keep an eye out for this topic!

Huh? To be a leader of any sort it starts with having a clue. It’s clear that you have no clue. Congratulations on being completely clueless.

Hi Kara, wht need to be done if my team is not happy
@kararonin Жыл бұрын
First, you need to work out why they're not happy. Make sure you have one-on-one conversations with them. Listen to them. Get feedback on how they feel about the team dynamic and your leadership style. Their unhappiness may/may not be about you, but you need to find out what is making them unhappy so you can work on fixing it.
