I live in Apalachicola Florida. From the time I was able to walk, I grew up on my Daddy's Commercial Fishing Boats. I am now about to turn 67 years old and I am in a wheelchair, so my fishing days are over. I guess I tried every type fishing there is on this Gulf Coast but the thing I loved the most was Grouper and Snapper fishing. Both using those same reels y'all are using for Cod as well as long lining. The reels there that y'all call jiggers, we call bandits, as in one armed bandits. I really wish I had made a trip up there to do some Halibut and Cod fishing when I still could have. I have seen several of your Halibut and Cod videos. Keep on fishing brothers.Fair Winds and Following Seas .......JP

Dream vacation = spending a week with you all in your beautiful part of the world helping, learning, and fishing.

Still a job and hard work 😊
@MVPCustomCues2 жыл бұрын
@@scottessery100 For sure hard work. Commercial fishing is not a laid back life. I couldn't do it for a living, but I love learning about different trades and ways of life, so learning and working hard for a week in that part of the world (and I do like to fish) would still be a vacation.

I really like the way you handle fish, and take care of the quality. Hook and line fishing the way you do it, can probably last forever. People need to know the difference between hook and line and trawler fishing. A large factory trawler could remove all those fish in a limited amount of time. Hook and line is sustainable!

You should join me watching these guys in their own backyard. It’s a different fishery Cape Flattery to Whidbey Island. Bottom fishing needed CLOSING inside Pt. Angeles, black rock bass stocks I could see first hand diminishing. There’s a ledge at 70’ off Neah Bay where they would school up in the 100’s… 15 minute dive off our “protected marine area” at the Keystone Ferry dock - maybe 2-3 fish. It’s not like the old days, crabbing the Puget Sound should be closed for a couple of years. The Clinton Ferry dock used to produce 10” limits, scuba has its advantages. The little bugs don’t get a chance to grow up.

Looks like you had a nice day, and found some sweet spots for jigging. I'm sure it feels better to come in with your holds full of good-looking fish, and having had some nice weather to do it in. It's always a pleasure to see you guys at work - I know its hard work, but you go about it at a steady pace, and with smiles on your faces. Good too when you pull the jigs in and find fish on the hooks rather than the reverse, I'm sure. Take care of yourselves, and thank you for the video.

First time watching one of your videos. I was supposed to go out sport rock fishing this morning in California but my buddy woke up sick so we had to cancel. Lousy chemotherapy after effects. I was stationed there on Kodiak back in the 80s. I sure do miss the fishing, clamming, crabbing and hunting there. Good luck to you with your business 🤙🏼

Said it before fellas - you are just a fantastically well-oiled working machine. I kinda feel a little bad - being a suburbanite, it's nice to live vicariously through you guys, although a little creepy. Just really nice to see a father/son working really well together - almost as if you're in each other's heads, knowing just what is needed to proceed. Really jealous of that aspect (my parents divorced when I was very young, and my dad left, so I lost that father/son interaction entirely). But I get the "feel goods" watching you two working so well together. So pleased to have ever found your channel - it's truthfully a chill-out and relax for me (obviously not for you guys - even if it's something you both absolutely love and enjoy doing). Thank you from the bottom of my heart - awesome videos, great content, and excellent banter between you both - even more so when the whole family is involved! Keep up the good work ... all the best from Sydney, Australia (currently 11 degrees C @5:35 am - hopefully hit 16 today). 🎣🐠🐟👍

Great video guy's. Never will forget a fishing trip of mine, we had a great day fishing out of Morro Bay and was cleaning up the boat when I tripped and fell on a gunny sack of Rock Cod and stuck a fin in the palm of my hand, thought my had was on fire for hours, don't think it would have hurt more if it had been cut off. I am going to check out your store as I live in Oklahoma now and really miss that fresh Rock fish!
