And the first hands on death in breaking bad was crazy 8 being strangled by Walt and the last hands on death was Todd being strangled by Jesse well Jack was shot at the same time but he was already going to die from his other gun shot wound so that doesn't count

El Camino is closure that was very needed for Jesse he deserves a movie

That scene in the diner between Walt and Jesse so perfectly encapsulated Breaking Bad the show. The fact that Walter is envious of Jesse because he got to do something “special” so young instead of becoming a drug kingpin in his old age. Jesse gave him a look like “what? Im just trying to get paid and survive.“

The way Jesse shot that other fake cop is a callback to how he shot the last Salamanca in Mexico when they were escaping with Gus and Mike
@zombiesingularity Жыл бұрын
The reason the image looks "clearer" is because Breaking Bad was shot on film, which is chemically processed. "El Camino" was shot on digital, which is processed by computers. Some people don't like digital because they say it doesn't "feel like" classic movies should feel, because it looks too clean. But digital is a lot cheaper and easier to shoot with, but it produces a different "feel" and look than film.

El Camino in Spanish means the way. Its also the name of the car he drove away in at the end of breaking bad
‘El Camino’ means ‘the way’ the phrase also lends itself to a vintage Chevrolet make.

I'm still amazed as to how many former actors they managed to appear in this film considering the show hasn't been on for 6 years. From Bryan Cranston (Walt), Jonathan Banks (Mike), Krysten Ritter (Jane), Robert Forester (Ed), Larry Rankin (Old Joe), Tess Harper & Michael Bofshever (Diane & Adam Pinkman), & David Mattey (Clearance) all making cameo appearances in it.

The place that Td and Jessie burried the cleaning lady is called the Bitsi Badlands and is a very desolate part of Northwest New Mexico and is about a three-hour drive away from Todd's apartment in Albuquerque so Jessie had to ride three hours in the back of Todd's El Camino with the dead woman.

While the exact number isn't revealed, considering Jesse had $240,000.00 cash to give to Ed The Disappearer (not counting the cash Badger & Skinny Pete gave him), if the money was split exactly 3 ways, that means Todd had $720,000.00 cash in his fridge.

I think this movie did what it was supposed to do, and that was to give you closure as far as Jesse's story was concerned. Most people really wanted Jesse to be able to move on to a better life and I think this movie at least gave us the feeling that he did. This was Jesse's Redemption story.
@anacrobat89 Жыл бұрын
Glad you guys watched this movie soon after you finished the series. It plays almost like a extra episode of the series but then again they had already concluded that story. Many people had bigger expectations when this came out six years later. Some people thought it would be a "Breaking Bad" movie like with more action and other characters which it was not meant to be at all. Vince decided to make this film because lots of people wondered what had happened to Jessie after he escaped. Did he get caught? etc. Jessie was a beloved character and people wanted a good ending for him.
@zombiesingularity Жыл бұрын
Yeah most people dont realize this movie is an epilogue. It's basically like a bonus chapter, not a full blown book.

I'd actually like to see a series with Skylar, Marie and Junior. How the hell did THEY get by after this? Do they talk to each other? Junior must be all screwed up! Marie must be shoplifting like crazy. Holly is all grown up, she has to find that videotape where Walt is talking to her. Junior has to meet Jesse, his sort of "half brother". (i don't know if that's possible, don't know what happens at the end of El Camino.) (Junior isn't in El Camino, right?).

I can see why people said that this movie wasn't necessary. The show ended perfectly and they waited like 10 years to make the movie. So I see people's distain for it. However, like most fans I enjoyed the nostalgia and the flashbacks. I'd say this movie was 70% for nostalgia 20% for closure with Jesse, and 10% for it's story. It really didn't need 2 hours to make the points it made, and they waited far to long to make it. But I do like the movie nonetheless.

That show was extremely boring anytime Saul and Kim were on screen. Gus and Mike scenes were always good. I don't think I finished Saul either because of how boring it was. A lot of breaking bad fans thought it would give the same excitement as breading bad but not at all. It wasn't even half as good as breaking bad, so I would understand why someone wouldn't want to watch multiple seasons of boring.

I dont think this movie is bad but I dont think its good either. It has good parts. But the weakest scene for me was the showdown with the villains. It was really contrived and nonsensical. I know jessie isnt walter, but I still feel like he could have done something smarter that doesnt rely on his target being really REALLY stupid. Especially when you consider the fact that he was the one that conceived most of the plans/heists in BB. Which includes outsmarting walt himself at the end before his fall.
