Hi I live in el dorado and fish the lake quite a bit for catfish but have wanted to try to start going after crappy. Do you any good tips that could help me find and catch some fish?

What trolling motor are you using? Are you using spot lock and Livescope at the same time while catching those crappie? I’m looking to upgrade my trolling motor. I drive by that lake on my way to Iowa and always wanted to fish that lake.

I'm using the minn kota ultrex. No I only spotlock for when I'm doing something else besides fishing. Once I get fish in boat I'll use it so it doesn't blow me back or if I'm taking a break. I use my off hand to control the line alot of times and feel more comfortable with the livescope on the trolling motor and know where it's looking most of the time without having to look up so I can pitch or drop the jig anywhere around the boat. I don't fish many brushpiles and a lot of the times big fish aren't on trees so spotlock and a separate pole for livescope doesn't work for my way of fishing.

Where were you fishing and what were you using
