So many white rappers try to "act black" to sound cool. Most are basically minstrels without the blackface. El-P is just himself and makes good beats. He knows the line between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation.

You say that ish and I hear ya. But if you heard Talib speak and never saw him would you say oh that's definitely a brother? Hell no you wouldn't! You think that's a white guy. Stop putting people in these groups to fit your myopic world view and just like people for the content of their character and quit looking to pigeonhole everyone in your easy to understand groups! The world is f-ed up and just when you think you've figured it out, it'll flip the script!

It's so funny to me when ppl label rappers as white and put them in a box when people like this guy and many others (exception for those owned and controlled by MSM industry are mere puppets & originate nothing). White people were very much a part of the beginning of rap way before it became an industry which makes them an intricate part of the birth of hip hop. Last time I checked hip hop wasn't a color but a culture of New York urban lifestyle which includes as many colors and races that inhabit New York. No race deserves to own it is not to be owned but experienced like a good meal or drink. Anyone who disagrees are bringing boundaries into an idea that removed them. Does that make any sense? That would put shackles in an art when art is the exact opposite otherwise it's fabricated to promote identity politics for a specific self serving individuals at the top. Does that sound like hip hop to you? It doesn't to me. That's an main stream industry mindset hip hop was in response to the recording industry and many others who were exploiting their own consumers. It doesn't get much more indie then hip hop abs we need to promote indie labels like tech 9s this man's and so many others who refused to cave in and refused to sell out there music for those vultures. White people are not the only vultures my friends. Only a few leave the game with their values and morals intact. Look at Kanye that's what that industry does to humans. I believe a hybrid system is needed and there is much to be learned by this system and can be incorporated into a new system. The original way this country has been intended has been hijacked by corporations i agree many are the enemies but their are many wealthy ppl who aren't. The enemy isn't money or wealth they are clues of success but excessive greed are a problem I agree

And as for that second comment. Oh God above, what's been done to your brain at all. Capitalism is modern-day feudalism, driven by greed and selfishness, and maintained by fear and base desires. Corporate media poisons minds like its owners poison the oceans and salt the land. Minds bereft of nutrients and a place to grow won't ever reach their potential, which is why poverty is pushed on the common folk and the Discovery Channel shows you what Honey Boo Boo's been eating for lunch. Your picture of reality is obscured. Pull the shit from you eyes man
