Chase you can absolutely perfect deflect dragonbreath and will take *very* minimal elemental damage if you manage it. Just spam L1 because you have to deflect each damage instance during the breath. You’ll feel like a fuckin’ god and the breath spammer will be at a complete loss. It’s definitely easier to just run in for the interrupt or punish but if you’re feeling like totally styling on someone, go for it.

Your encounter with the healing wizard is like something out of a good fantasy story. A grizzled mercenary is sent to kill a group of adventurers, but seeing them changes him. The adventuring party is a nimble cleric, a stout wizard, and a swordsman. He sees them struggle against a terrible tree monster. The mercenary tactically takes out the stout wizard while the other two frantically try to stave off the tree monster's rotten sap. The leader barely makes it out of the encounter with his life, while the warrior dies from a dark affliction. The mercenary follows the leader and marvels as he faces no enmity from him, despite having killed someone from his party. Perhaps the cleric doesn't know who did the deed, or perhaps his heart is just so bereft of hatred as to not consider the mercenary a villain. Abominations flock to the cleric. Dark monstrous tangles of limbs, appearing out of the ground, bellowing poisonous fumes and lashing out with myriad appendages. The cleric goes to take a knee and casts a miracle of healing magic. His faith being so powerful as to stun and eviscerate the unholy abominations. Shadowy beings cannot abide the light, and the mercenary squints as he sees the cleric bathed in holy rays. The mercenary makes up his mind to lead the cleric to a safe location, still unsure of his own part in this play, but a steel-set killing intent is a hard thing to let abscond your heart. At the safe location there lieth a curious thing; a golden grace. The cleric wordlessly summons a friend, and frightened at the sudden appearance of a fierce warrior, the mercenary strikes the ethereal apparition but sees his deadly blades phase through - not leaving a scratch. The warrior and the cleric immediately turn a corner and face another tree demon, just such as the one who claimed the life of the last swordsman who graced the party, and the mercenary is stunned. This cleric is truly a holy man. His charisma and unwavering faith attract friends to his side, and how could any man come between a true warrior of light and the darkness he seeks to erase.
