Thank you for this great series. Watched every single episode from the beginning. Took a while but was worth it. Rare to see someone who is so interested about the lore and is ready to use time and effort to think more deeply about the story and characters. Also you arent too serious about playing optimally and are playing just for fun like we all should. You seem to be genuine and not "streamer acting" and thats refreshing. Would love to see other first playthroughs of other soul games, but dont think you have them stored anywhere?

So far the only 'first playthrough' that isn't up is Dark Souls 2, and that's older than this, but I'm still toying with the idea of putting it up! I adore that game. DS1 is here, demon's souls remake is here, and the other games I'd played closer to release before I streamed, so there isn't a 'first' play available. But Bloodborne dlc and Dark Souls 3 dlc were new to me. Point is, I'm not sure what's next

Nooooo, now i lost my purpose in life. Edit: lol, no the casting doesnt come out because youre low. It comes out because when youre low, you try to create distance and creating distance is the thing that triggers him to start casting.

@@Wraff Whahaha wraff are you still heated over the casting spam? I thought since this was like a year ago... Anyway, yeah no the moment you TRY and create distance (not saying you succeed) he starts to cast. If you remain in melee range he barely never casts. Seems like he does it due to low health but thats just because, with your play style, being low is the only time you attempt to leave melee range. Cant imagine fighting this dude as a pure caster. He parries your spells and spams the F out of you from a distance...

I haven't seen this being mentioned by others, but to me it's rather obvious, and since you're interested in lore.. I think the endings of Elden Ring are basically player's choice about how the third millennia would look like. The first two millennia (two fingers) were at first governed by a golden order, but its link to its Greater Will was severed and damaged at some unknown point in time or maybe it was damaged from the beginning. This is a reference to religion governing the majority of first two millennia. But now player chooses what comes next, with the choices varying from continuing a fractured era, to Ranni's ending which is perhaps the best one and the age of stars, where path to wisdom stretches into loneliness and darkness. To me it implies a reference to Jung's idea of individualisation. You see other such references to his ideas too. Like the concept of "Shadow" tree in DLC is clearly reflecting Jung's shadow or at least inspired by it

Thank you so much for seeing this through. I know how much work this took. I’m wondering if you ever changed your mind about Melina. She’s one of my favorites.

Tbh a lot of this was playing it up to be funny. I definitely had my problems with her, but the dialogue I missed really showcases her quiet resolve, and the farewell cutscene is touching. I like Melina a lot more now than I did at first!

Started watching this playthrough to see someone super into the lore on their first playthrough, stayed for the DS2 slander slander, detective work, and seeing backseaters getting dunked on (even if it's better it didn't happen). Awesome series!

Honestly enjoyed the playthrough as a whole for the lore enthousiasm and your skills deciphering it. But i had a harder time enjoying it towards the end, as much as you had a harder time enjoying the game if that makes sense. 😢 Anyways it was an adventure, keep up the good work Wraff. ❤
@orangoutan87277 ай бұрын
Every player experienced fatigued towards the end. It's my favorite game of all time but even I can admit it's a long game to stomach the first time because you want to do as much as possible. the subsequent playthroughs are more chill and streamlined with WAY less fatigue. it's funny I've seen tons of playthroughs and the consensus I get from the end game is always an unsaid: 'time to wrap this up already' but then comes the credits and everybody gets emotional 😂

Sadly even in 2024 the bosses are a massive weak point of the game for me. Nothing fills me with more dread than hitting Maliketh and realizing all I have left to do is a boss rush of a bunch of stinkers. I'm happier hunting for lore, dialogue, questlines, architecture or...fighting other bosses from other games lol

So NG+ on KZbin when? 😅 Also I find it interesting how different the views are on all the bosses. For instance I love the Radagon fight. I thought it really showcased how much the skills of the player have improved since the start of the game. I’d honestly love a harder Radagon fight.

Very very good playthough. Thank you for all the hours of entertainment. As a lore enjoyer, because of the way you see the lore and how you think this was super satisfying to watch from episode 1 to 104. But while i dont want to play it maybe you have some let's play on it for us ?
@irurwurst7 ай бұрын
this fight made me about as angry as I have ever been at a video game, specifically because you have to fight both of them in a row. However, in retrospect I don't think it would have made sense to split them up. This game gives you so many incredibly powerful tools to make bosses easier, and Elden Beast is a boss specifically designed to only really be difficult because you're struggling to learn its attacks with reduced resources from the Radagon fight. The brilliant thing about this is that it's definitely possible to just get lucky and beat Radagon without really mastering him, but if you want Elden Beast to go smoothly you need to actually learn how to fight Radagon. I think that it would be best for future games if they didn't have such divisive things as Spirit Summons, which many players who are familiar with these games or want to master them will avoid using, and end up running into brick walls of difficulty as a result. It would be easier to tune bosses for different skill levels if.... the game just had difficulty modes. I know that no one wants to hear that, but it would be an overall better solution. (just make the difficulty set to the highest level whenever you summon someone for multiplayer so invaders don't get cheesed in easy mode worlds)
