I so want to get into souls type games but I'm a bad gamer. It's hard for me to get gud and dedicate lot of time for it. The aesthetic and ambiance of souls type game is enchanting. I'm 25 already and I don't think I'll ever properly get into these games. Such a shame. I guess I'll enjoy from afar.

Truthfully, I'd say that getting gud is really a small portion of what it takes to play these games. When it comes to bosses, most people, even talented individuals, well go through and fight bosses many, many times before the win. It's the repetition, and learning the boss' moves and attack patterns from that repetition that make fights easier with each attempt. I would say (if you're playing on console) pick up a physical copy and give it a go for a bit. If you don't like it, return it. If you can't get a physical copy, you could still get the game, but you'd have to accept that if you don't decide to keep playing it after the purchase, it will just sit there

I think Elden Ring is the best one to try. It's an open world, so you almost always have the option of turning back from a tough challenge, get stronger somewhere else, and go back when you feel ready. There are also more tools than ever to help, most notably the ability to summon allies for bosses and hard areas. Using these, the game gets much easier. It won't be a cake walk either, but definitely more manageable than people that solo all content with melee weapons. Knowledge of the game (basically having the wiki opened :D) weight almost more than player skills, if you want to play that way. Also, you're still young at 25 :D Definitely not old enough that it becomes a valid excuse :P

What does age have to do with it? I first played Dark Souls 1 three years ago when I was 27. I've since beaten it, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. Never found any of them too hard either, as I was afraid at first because of everything I had heard online. You just have to take your time with enemies, learn their moves, don't rush and focus.
