@@bighex5340 she knows, I went to fight Rennala after ending Ranni’s questline and her dialogue in the cutscene was changed. She said to me that it was a lack of respect to go there (or something like that), while her normal dialogue is different. So she knows we are there.

@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx if you do seluvis’s questline eventually you will get an opportunity to do something that angers ranni. If you keep talking to her after she tells you to leave during this quest she’ll literally kill you with just her words so that is entirely possible.

Worth mentioning what really broke Rennala's heart was not only Radagon's leaving, but more for Ranni's death. That's why she was obsessed with rebirthing her daughter. Ranni could not tell her mother the fact that she staged her own death (body only), and that her soul is still alive, because that risks revealing the plan to the Greater Will. The only thing Ranni could do for her mother was to conjure the spell to protect her, and show any aggressor the majesty of the Queen of the Full Moon in her prime power.

It’s pretty chill the other sorcerers let that happen, I know they don’t care about Renalla but they still just don’t have those statues anywhere. They even kept the moon dial outside the Debate parkour

Whenever rennala comes to my mind, im always so humbled by the impact of her motives. Everything about her is the incarnation of the moon: First the cycle of mother and daughter, birth and dead, just like the neverending cycle of the moon. Second her little apprentices that surround her like the stars surround the moon. This motive of constant rebirth is exactly what the meaning of the moon lools like. The search of perfection that can be found in the fullmoon, but also in its opposit: the dark and brightless newmoon. A game between light and shadow, hope and agony. Its beautiful!

He also left Rennala the amber egg as a parting gift. It’s pretty much confirmed that he left outta obligation. He was the second strongest champion in the lands between and as such would be the one chosen by the greater will to succeed Godfrey

Definitely was not his decision, he was also trying to "become complete", which means to be independent of Marika. Also, Marika calls Godfrey her Lord, and Radagon swore his love to Rennala. When Marika speaks of Radagon, it's to taunt him. She called him a dog and less than. It's fascinating. Edit: Also, GRRM's work highlights that duty is the end of love. It's a recurring theme in his work. Radagon left Rennala because he had a Golden Order and a queen to serve. Solemn duty weighs upon the one beholden Not unlike a gnawing curse from which there is no deliverance...

Rennala´s, Caria´s and Liurnia´s fates form one of the more depressing stories told in the world of Elden Ring, mostly because Kingdom of Caria seems to have been the most humane governing entity in Lands Between. Even Leydell has dirt beneath it´s gilded surface. Rennala and Carian royals seemed to be genuinely good people, considering Carian Royals treated Trolls as valued knights and compatriots, not as slaves as in other regions. Rennala´s ultimate fate, however, is very tragic. Considering intelligence is what gives sorcery-wielders their power, and that she once was an exceptionally intelligent scholar, her emotionally unbalanced mind that prevents her from acting rationally is really a fate worse than death. We see that in her own bossfight, she can´t even muster coherent thought to form simplest of defensive spells of her own, instead relying on her loyal junior scholars, that seem to channel FAITH not INTELLIGENCE in their incantations, if the colour of the levitation spell is of any indication. Kingdom of Caria is no more, and Ranni has to hide from both internal and external enemies. Liurnia itself, according to all-knowing narrator, is doomed to slowly sink into rotten lake underground (we can already see effects of creeping rot in the south) while plagued by wandering wraiths and crazed automatons under control of emerging warlords of Raya Lucaria. And about Raya Lucaria, even after player has visited it, school and capital is either run by malevolent and ruthless cabal of scholars, or just stays empty and hollow while last Queen of Caria is totally oblivious of her surroundings. Out of mind, she continues to cradle an empty amber egg that has lost its great rune after player has left, while everything falls in ruin around her. Caria and Liurnia really have the most tragic fate in store for them of all Elden Ring societies.

Here's what I believe about Radagon's identity (though I have limited information on this): SPOILERS FOR LATE GAME. The game alludes to him being Queen Marika, but also as a separate Entity. I believe Marika somehow split off a part of herself, making Radagon. The purpose of this was probably to trick Rennala into bearing children with Marika's blood while simultaneously ending the war. When Godfrey was outcasted from the Lands Between, Marika was left in a vulnerable state, thus recalled the fragment (Radagon) that she split from herself, and I believe Rennala learned the truth, playing a major role in her heart and mind shattering. Radagon being separated from Marika for so long probably allowed him to develop an ego of his own, hence why we see some contradictions, like Marika shattering the Elden Ring, and Radagon attempting to repair it.

@@imtrash2812 It's confirmed Marika shattered it. I believe they were in conflict in the original trailer. In the intro cutscene, we see that Marika's body changes between each strike on the Elden Ring. Perhaps they were having a tug of war, and Marika prevailed in the end, seeing as how the ring was destroyed. The hammer you get from defeating the final bosses states Marika shattered the ring, resulting in the fracture in the hammer, and Radagon attempted to repair it.

@@cincameron if you watch the radagon of the golden order cutscene first it's queen marika. she has yellow hair and when she falls down and holds the hammer her hair turns red and her torso changes to that of a man. turning into radagon.

@@sonmiqueen5792 the greater will is very powerful so he probably was forced to leave her. also the the greater will and the Carian royal family are on two opposite sides since the Caria(kingdom worshipped the Moon while the erdtree Region worshipped the Greater Will same with fire giants they worshipped the outer God of Fire. Also watched another lore video about Elden ring and one of the theories about radagon is that he is humanoid of a great rune which would make sense since marika is the vessel for the elden ring which would make sense that they had to conjoined since radagon is part of the ring. SPOILERS The read I'm getting is that Mar/agon is a divine being we might compare to the Holy Trinity or even deities in Hinduism like Parvati or the Trimurti. The main difference is that the two aspects of Mar/agon are seemingly opposed to each other, rather than working together in divine balance. Radagon didn't leave Rennala to marry Marika. It's possible Marika and Radagon can't even "exist" at the same time. Marika probably just took control to go shatter the Elden Ring, and Radagon started fighting back against his other side's plan

They can exist separately, and they did for a time. It's unknown *exactly* why Radagon decided to leave Renalla and reunite with Marika, but I assume he simply wanted to. It wasn't until later that Marika became disillusioned with the Greater Will because of Godwyns death and decided to shatter the Elden Ring. At the same time, Radagon tried to repair it. None the less the greater will punished them both by forcing them to fuse back into a single being and imprisoning them within the erd tree.

A pretty interesting detail I noticed is on the Dark Moon Greatsword and the Golden Order Greatsword. The description of the first one reads "A Moon Greatsword, bestowed by a Carian queen upon her spouse to honor long standing tradition", and the description of the second reads "Telltale signs betray that this was once the greatsword bequeathed to him (Radagon) by his first wife, Rennala". I may be wrong but I kinda get the idea that they're supposed to be the same sword but after Radagon left Rennala to become Elden Lord he altered it into the Golden Order Greatsword as for it to no longer bear any association with the Moon

In the Japanese translation though, it was said that he forged a completely new one, but made it to resemble the Dark Moon Greatsword. So depending on the version it's either Radagon really is a callous apathetic ass who left for the Golden Order to fill the shoes of being the next Elden Lord, or Radagon could be quite sentimental and just wanted to give himself a reminder of the love he was forced to abandon.

From my understanding Marika is just a vessel of the Greater Will & the Elden Beast is a part of the Greater Will made manifest. What's interesting to me though is how this game correlates to Bloodborne because the Greater Will seems to be an Outer God similar to Oedon. If they go for DLCs I expect them to be more Bloodborne-like.

I find the story of Elden ring to be very interesting. Cursed beings, tyrannical kings, mad necromancers, and practical gods take part in the fall of the lands between. A story blanketed in a sheet of despair which once was called harmony but then, us, the brave tarnished are resurrected to become the new elden lord and to do this we kill many powerful foes just to fight the current elden lord. In this act, we reset the lands between and let whatever madness to come unfold while we sit upon the throne accomplished. It’s a neat ending and by killing all of these foes you face in the game you put an end to the string of curses that plagued their life. This is such a great game and I can’t wait to finish it, wish me luck.

I have a thing that im very confused on. You may have noticed that great runes given by demigods have certain shapes (a circle with a vertical line drawn on it). If you put those icons near each other you will realize that each twin from each dynasty has similar great runes. Radahn and rykard have a circle and a line drawn at the left side, mohg an morgot have a circle with the line at the middle and mallenia and the rune of unborn has line at the right side. So my theory is that the rune of unborn is actually miquellas rune,since it looks similar to mallenias and unborn seems to suggest to miquellas state as a permanent infant? (seems to make the most sense to me) But the problem comes as to why renala has the rune, and why does the rune even exist within the amber in the first place (i mean shattering happened after radagon gave the amber to renala, so how did a piece of elden ring end up there?). Also it might hint at the fact that melina and ranni might be twins like the others? Or atleast halves of the same person like radagon and marika ? (since its been already made obvious that they are related somehow) Would help me a ton if you could share your insight!

I think Radagan was chosen because of the potential of his kin Rykard and Radhan were his children with Rennala and they stood as the strongest demigods Malenia was his child, same as Miquella and they had immeasurable potential I think she just saw the power of his blood and what he could offer her and the Erdtree

Really enjoyed, I love watching Dark Souls lore videos and have been searching for Elden Ring lore since release. Your voice is soothing which is good because I usually watch these videos in bed. Maybe could have incorporated Mirial, Pastor Of Vows in this video as he talks about parts of this when you meet him in the church.
