I believe they buffed the Loretta’s Sickle version of this ash more than the regular ash of you look at the notes (they buffed both though). This makes sense because the sickle version was basically inferior to a normal halberd with the ash on it. I’m glad they changed it. Especially cus the sickle is such a late game weapon where you can’t change the ash. It better be better than standard version.

my battlemage build uses that ash on a cold pest glaive and mostly melee range spells, it's nice. It also looks good with the Eccentric chest and the rest spellblade set xD

Not a weapon, but the new storm blade ash of war got a buff where the cast speed is faster, has longer range, and the weapon its self has a hitbox, so it deals more damage up close. Lot's of other ashes of wars were buffed as well if you could try some in your future showcase videos. Great stuff as usual man

Chase, from my experience.. people who use dragon breaths can be staggered out of their animations with a simple dagger throw. Idk if higher poise does a difference but it might be useful to get fully tested on that, because hearing that dragon screech and not being able to do anything is so annoying. Maybe someone can pitch in and enlighten us if its 100% reliable?

Miquellan knight's sword could be worth a video. Sacred blade got buffed in the 1.07 update to be stronger, last longer, and most importantly the blade has a hitbox so you can hit with both the beam and the sword at the same time. It also has a cool unique charged R2 that has you charge forward. Stat distribution is weird though, since it has D str/D dex/D faith at +10, so it's a weird quality/faith hybrid thing.

It's a bit sad how bad the scaling on that weapon is, considering how it's found in the endgame and will surely be outclassed by any other weapon... It'd make a nice item for a split damage straight sword build with the sword of night and flame...

@@brickch.6502 Yeah, I just jumped onto a build planner and it is pretty dismal. Using vagabond as a base with their starting 14 str/13 dex and 80 faith, at +10 it only got *56* damage from faith scaling for a pathetic total of 527 AR. Going 80 str/13 dex/16 faith got it 585 AR. Going 14 str/80 dex/16 faith got it 587 AR. And lastly going 50 str/50 dex/16 faith got it 620 AR, which still isn't good, and with 60 vigor puts you at RL 134 so you only get 4 spare levels for endurance if you want to stay at 138. Sadly you're much better off just using a regular longsword and sacred infusing if you want to use sacred blade on a faith build.

Honestly I feel like the Loretas war sickle should get some bonuses since its AoW isnt even unique. It should have a boost to horse back damage as a passive or double as a sorcery catalyst with its R2

Had I think 60-70 dex and it pumped out like 752 ar with only the weapon buff. The buff length was like quadrupled too it's amazing.

1. OLd Lord's is only for Spells and the like; 2. The buildup is still shit. The buff lasts longer and you have some decent lightning damage now; 3. The lightning strike portion of the ash is garbage compared to the Lightning Slash one. Like, just compare them. The lightning strike also seems to have a smaller range for some godforsaken reason.

@@asdergold1 Yes it has a much higher AR, however I've noticed that since huge slow weapons wiff often and have huge blood loss it can often put a lot of pressure on enemies, and if you get the bleed prop you can get the damage buff from Lord of Blood's Exultation

I don't like the way you can combo the complete ashes of war. it is really annoying most like the glintstone pebble before patch. But still you can run around the opponent and avoid the full AoW. May be get an extra hit before the recovery.

Law of causality has such piss poor damage. If it at least stuns your enemy so you can get in more danage from your attacks then it'll be useful. But even that it can't. It knocks your opponents away.

Ive noticed he never really talks about his physik(this would be nice) but he did mention having the magic increase tear and usually has the crimson bubbleswirl? Tear that gives you a chunk of health when your hp drops real low. You can see it activate in a lot of his showcases.

You cannot be knocked down by attacks while using weapon arts that take you in the air, but only after you are airborne (you can get hit at startup). Loretta's Sickle and the Winged Scythe both share this property, but I don't know of any others off the top of my head.
