Going back to Malenia after the DLC was crazy. She felt so relaxed and slow paced after Promised Consort. Like I was Rock Lee and the training weights came off

Yeah it helps a lot when the bosses doesn't fucking charge you the minute you enter the fogwall. Radahn 2nd phase feels like artificial difficulty imo.

It’s cool to think that, to many players(when the game first dropped), melania’s fight felt like Radahns does currently. Overwhelming and tuned way above anything else, but not impossible. Definitely an accomplishment even with summons, and without summons even more so.

Absolutely phenomenal! Now many people aren’t as critical of Elden Ring’s bosses as they used to when they had to learn them properly and after seeing the DLC bosses lol. We’re in this phase that people are appreciating these amazing bosses. Amazing video too.

That's just wrong. No person that analysed the game had any real problems with Malenia, because she wasn't actually that unfair. What made her unfair was only her Waterfowl Dance. People often said that their main problem with Malenia isn't that she is hard, but that the fight is often way too dependent on how often and when she is using Waterfowl. And that they didn't feel much satisfaction because they won for the first time during a run where she just didn't use that attack in her 2nd phase. But of course after 2 years, people still making videos about Malenia have figured out how to abuse her absurd tracking during Waterfowl which is why it's a non issue for them anymore. For any new player, Malenia's Waterfowl is still a fight ruining attack for the aforementioned reasons.

@@Modie I would even say Waterfowl is still the single most difficult to "figure out & execute" move in the entire game + dlc, and the fact that she had 2 life bars + life steal made her arguably still more difficult to conquer for most players than even the final DLC bosses.

​@@apophisstr6719 lifesteal is psychological warfare at worst. If she's healing to where it's actually substantial, you were dead anyway. ⚰️ Waterfowl was definitely stupid, though, and really just the first flurry too. The rest was just "okay."

Yeah there is no realistic way to fully dodge that attack without like invincibility frames from an ash of war, or just blocking.(but blocking it would heal her like 15% of her max HP so it’s doomed)
