Morgott, last of all Kings, is one of the most complex, intriguing characters in FromSoftware's Elden Ring. As a result of his twisted and misshapen body, he was detested by just about everyone, including the Erdtree. Nevertheless he chose to love and protect that which spurned him. While his other siblings fought for power over the Lands Between, Morgott acted out of duty.
Elden Ring was developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

I really love the duality between mohg and morgott, even down to their physical appearances. Morgott looks recognisably human with only mild growths coming from the side of his face, but he wears tattered robes which make him look more monstrous. Mohg completely embraced what he was born as, but at the same time wears very regal clothes to make himself look sophisticated when he's really a monster on the inside Mohg is everything morgott stopped himself from being, power hungry and disobedient to the greater will. Morgott used the greater will as a way to give himself purpose, but mohg looked even deeper into the hole he was cast into for a purpose

That is true...Morgott and Mohg just needed hugs and friends. I bet Morgott would be really nice if you got to know him personally. Mohg...Maybe?

i like how ER uses the character's accents to give you backstory and inform you of their status in the world. the relationship between margit and godrick is a good example. godrick has a west country accent, same as boc and irina. the fact that margit speaks nearer to received pronunciation foreshadows that margit is higher status than godrick

In death, Morgot was exercised of his horns. You can tell by looking at his corpse. Probably bestowed upon him by the erd tree as a reward for his unwavering faith. So that his soul may pass through the tree.

The thing about morgott's fight i really love is that by any means it doesn't feel like a duel of honor, only this fight managed to give me the feeling of fighting someone, who wants to kill us more than everything else. A lot of bosses in the series feel very intentional about treir movements, using well telegraphed attacks and giving player the big enough openings to punch them back, but not morgott. The first few times i fought him were like "why does this bitch hate me so much let me just run away and heal", but that's exactly the point (o≖◡≖)

Their is a video I remember seeing talking about the integral relationship between the Omens and the Perfumers. To make a long story short they are all at once both cursed and blessed. The Elden a ring was once more than it is now as evidence by the representations of it in the Dragon Capital. The runes of the Elden Ring govern the very nature of the world itself. The Omens are born deformed showing pieces of what was once the natural order of the world, what was once divine but no longer is, from the moment they’re born they’re haunted by nightmares of some unidentified creature talking to them, telling them horrible things. The Perfumers took pity on them and tried to free them of this curse by removing the horns which unfortunately often killed them, they tried medicine but it never worked. Omens we’re born into the world never knowing peace because even their dreams torment them. So one day the leader of the Omen Hunters came to the conclusion that only death could free the Omens from their torment, it troubled him so deeply the thought of mercy killing them so he made a medicine that removed his emotions so he could do what he felt had to be done. The Omens being born as something the Elden Ring and by extension the Universe no longer recognized saw fit to torment them from the day of their birth to the day they die and only death could free them.

Damn this is a good video. ER's lore is, like with all of From's games, not exactly easily comprehensible, but you make it so easy to understand! I leave here loving Morgott even more as a character. More than his iconic lines, he's a tragic and surprisingly loyal king, more noble than many of his siblings could ever be.

Morgott never cursed the Erdtree or the Greater Will for decreeing he be cast into the depths. Even knowing that the cold, uncaring Greater Will and its Golden Order would forever despise him, he never turned his back on the meaning they gave to his life. When his siblings, those who had been chosen as rightful heirs, gave into their own ambitions, desires, and bloodlust, imperiling the Erdtree, it wasn't salvation from the stars or a comely golden god who delivered the tree from its plight. It was the cursed child who had been thrown into the darkness deep within the earth. Though the Golden Order rejected him, he never rejected the Order. And when the Erdtree needed someone to protect it from the very chosen children who were meant to be the stewards of its firmament in the Lands Between, it was Morgott who rose up to be its savior when it needed him most. On a great cosmic scale, perhaps there was no meaning to his endeavors. But Morgott rose above a life of solitude in the darkness and carved out a path of his own in the light. Whether it meant anything to the Greater Will or not, his task was one that he bestowed with meaning and saw through to the bitter end, clinging with desperation to hope when all meaning and hope seemed lost to all the inhabitants of the Lands Between.

Interesting and very well made as always ! Keep up the good grind ! You explain without BS and make insightful unique comments, not like most elden ring channels. If you ever make an actual story explained of Elden Rings i'd be down for it ! Cause i still have no idea wtf is going on in this game, it's like everybody banded together to make the game even more cryptic, it sucks :(

Morgott should've been Elden Lord, I mean if we think about it, Godwyn was dead, so maybe the throne belonged to Morgott and Mohg next? Or maybe just Morgott because Mohg didn't care about the golden order.

I had only ever tried the original Dark Souls on someone's recommendation years ago and decided quickly after the tutorial that it wasn't for me. Fast forward to this year, and I wound up approaching Elden Ring with no small amount of trepidation. Needless to say, the early game learning curve was quite steep, and the boss of the first side cave in Limgrave (Beastman of Farum Azula) wrecked me at level 1 several times before I pulled out a win, and I wound up hitting a wall in the form of Margit. I got killed so many times attempting to beat him, even after coming back after periods of level-grinding, and I grew to despise him, to the point where it was a huge triumph to finally beat him and shove it in his face. By the time I faced him at the foot of the Erdtree in the capital, I had well and truly learned how to play the game and found most major bosses much easier. By this point, I'd learned so much more about the lore of the game, and came to regard him a lot more sympathetically, how he actually exemplified a sense of duty and purpose, despite being literally godforsaken and shunned by nearly everyone, and he even shunned any trappings of nobility, believing like everyone else that he was cursed. This was only deepened when I managed to beat him on the second try after just barely losing the first attempt, though both battles certainly weren't easy and were quite epic. I felt saddened by how this enemy who once represented such a huge, seemingly impassable challenge for me had been so thoroughly surpassed and was laid low, and the way he died just made me feel worse. The game truly knows how to take a glorious triumph and make you feel shitty about it, much like how it felt to overcome Radahn. Definitely a great character in a game full of them, and one of the most memorable for sure.

Maybe during the age of the crucible there was a pantheon of outer gods playing their role in the lands between to control the elden ribg but the greater will wanted the lands to become monotheistic thus wanting to erase the traces of each other gods presence from the lands between as the crucible might be related to the greattree and the formless mother
