Personally, I assume that Radagon came into being when Marika killed the Fell God. That was when she was at her most fanatical as a believer in the Golden Order, and the game really wants you to know that Radagon had red hair just like the fire giants did, so I assume there must be a connection. Then, and this is pure speculation, I think Radagon eventually gained his own separate body. When he married Renalla, he was sincere in his love for her, and wanted to become more than just the "leal hound of the Golden Order". But, it was in vain. We learn the truth about Radagon via the Law of Regression incantation, which states that "all things eternally yearn to reconverge". I don't think that's a coincidence, I think Radagon was compelled to return to Marika by the Law of Regression.

His title "the Grafted" might hint that he was loosely related to Godfrey or Godwyn and was adopted into the family (or, grafted onto the family tree, if you want to get horticultural about it) after Godwyn got ganked and didn't have a suitable heir. Godrick's Great Rune description does describe it as an anchor ring, a description that is shared only with Morgott's Great Rune, hinting that it was a particularly important Great Rune and thus the one that should have gone to Godwyn the Ganked.

Miquella and Malenia are implied to Radagon and Marika's only children as the two and Ranni are definitely the only Empyreans among the demigods and any pure child of god is an empyrean. Radagon and Marika's first marriage however didn't neccesarily only yield three children each. There are countless of other demigods slain in the Night of Black Knives, died in the Shattering or killed by other Tarnished of the Roundtable Hold. Godrick could a descendant of Godwyn but he could have been a descendant of Godwyn's brother or sister too. Given that Morgott hides his identity as a Veiled Monarch while Godrick is able to state out and proud who he descended from probably not Morgott's or Mohg's though.

It’s possible they might even be twins like Miquella and Melania. They share some of the same similarities as them. One child red headed the other blonde, both cursed because they were conceived of Merika and Radagon. But the biggest difference between both sets of children is that while Miquella and Melania were both Empyreans, Messmer and Melina were not. And so they basically shared a similar fate to another set of royal twins, Morgot and Mogh, where they were considered accursed and tossed away. Merika abandoned Messmer to the realm of shadow after using him to get her revenge on the hornsent, and Melina was also likely abandoned as well since she walked the path beside flame and destined death to burn down the Erd Tree. Both were cursed, one to cause death by flame and one to die by flame to cause the death of the Erd Tree. I suspect that the only reason Miquella and Melania were not tossed aside like Messmer and Melina, was because they were Empyreans, and that’s it.
