Also its so terrifying how 1 simple, innocent decision can change everything. Like stopping at a different stop withher friend. Like I wonder how many times we avoided being taken or any other horrible thing because we chose 1 thing over another when the other could have ended our lives. Millys sisters book "My Sister Milly" is worth a read if you want to know more about what Milly was like as a girl. Sadly the chapters after she goes missing make for some very dark distressing reading. I actually had to stop for days at a time as it got so intense. I wish Levi would be killed by someone inside just to stop him causing the Dowlers continual pain with his attention seeking. Nothing but love for Bob, Sally, Gemma and Lovely Granny. Btw Gemma is only smiling in these clips because that documentary was filmed in the weeks after Levi was convicted and she was probably euphoric given that she and her mother had agreed to a joint suicide pact if he'd been found not guilty.

@cdavies8056 жыл бұрын
What was said by the families about her ‘suicide notes’ really bothers me. ‘She was so happy’ ‘she couldn’t have written them’ etc etc. Someone who is deeply deeply upset can sometimes be so good at hiding it. Milly might be a happy, bright teen who people might not ever expect to be suicidal. Sometimes things just aren’t as clear as you think xx
@lez34836 жыл бұрын
i thought that too. i think i am quite a smiley bubbly person but i have my down times/anxiety that i have not told people about. don't worry, i'm not suicidal or something and i know how to get help if needed, what i have is mild and only the tip of the iceberg. but i just know how easy it is to hide those feelings! especially because nothing bad has happened to me to feel those things so people wouldn't expect it/understand it but again, depression can have no reason to occur. i just think they were trying to say she wrote them in dark times in the height of those feelings and maybe it was only mild? and that the rest of the time she was at least okay. idk what i'm saying now(': but i agree!

This is a serious question: why is it that there are soooo many missing children that I see on posts and boards in stores, but I dont hear them on the news? Except for these ones? What makes a girl like Milly so much more special that she gets posted everywhere when children just like her get taken Everyday? I mean no disrespect to her or anyone, I'm just genuinely curious
@clod1484 жыл бұрын
Again, like you I mean NO disrespect to the Dowler family, and its not only her case, but generally missing people more more affluent/wealthy families receive more media attention/funding. I do not think any missing child deserves more than another, but look at the Ben Needham case and compare it to the Madeleine McCann case. One child was from a single parent family, the other was born to two doctors. Both children vanished in foreign countries. Notice the difference in media coverage, BN isn't heard of in most countries, but MM is known almost worldwide. Mostly to do with money, sadly.

You would have to be sick in the head to intentionally hit someone with a car not once, but twice! Seeing that demo video of what would have taken place actually made me flinch. I remember I was once driving on a quiet street that had a pond, and I stopped the car because there were ducklings in the middle of the road. I wanted them to be safe so I got out and helped them get across the road safely to their pond and just so I knew they'd be okay when I drove off. 😂

In regards to inmate mail, I work in corrections in USA. Inmates send out a TON of mail. We spot check it but we barely have the manpower to meet state staffing laws. There simply isn't time/manpower to read HUNDREDS of letters per day.
4 жыл бұрын
Inmates (men and women) have their addresses and bios on many websites so people can write to them in prison. I even used to see inmates advertising for pen-pals on Craigslist. Some websites list their crimes and some don't.
@purechaos4544 жыл бұрын
Wow. Never thought about the details of that

Im interested in knowing, do inmates in for super serious crimes like serial killers, etc. who have a longer sentence and perhaps execution do they have the ability to send mail and if so do u HAVE to read it or is it a spot check too, cuz i would think theyd either be unable to send any mail or have heavier kind of surveillance
@rustyroseranch3 жыл бұрын
They are allowed to write legal mail no matter what (letters to lawyers, judges, the media etc). Personal mail can be restricted temporarily (up to 30 days) if found guilty of a disciplinary infraction. At county jail, we would only intensely scrutinize mail with good reason such as escape risk inmates. Otherwise we spot check. I'm sure once they're convicted and go to prison it may be different

This case is so close to home for me. Milly lived in the town next door to me and was just 2 months older than me. I remember being so scared when it was all over the news. The road that Rachel Cowles encountered Levi is just half a mile from where I lived at the time (and still live now). The friend of Milly - Danielle - is a girl I used to socialise and party with a lot in our early 20s, but I never knew about her connection to Milly so you can imagine my surprise when she appeared in this video! And to top it all off....my mum used to teach Levi Bellfield when he was at secondary school. Milly Dowler and Holly & Jessica are the two cases that haunted me when I was a young teenager. RIP girls x

I was her age when she went missing (her birthday was a couple of months before mine). I remember seeing her case all over the news. Very sad. :(
