Its likely that the motive for killing was not a lie, she probably did feel genuinely betrayed from him cheating and disgusted by how he acted, all that may have been true but the actual execution of the murder was a bit more premeditated than she said. She probably just claimed self defence because maybe for the sake of her baby she thought that if it was self defence and not premeditation, she would've gotten a lighter sentence. My theory is that she processed what happened after he slapped her or something then conveniently they decide to get pizza. While he went to get the pizza she made the decision to kill him and ambush him from behind. So as he got back and while he was occupied with the pizza, putting it down on the table or something, she shot him behind in the head. And for the sake of the daughter she did all the steps to cover up the murder. Remember, this was a woman who cried when each of her patients died when she worked as a nurse, someone geuinely capable of love and sympathy. But at the same time as a woman shes worked as a sex worker and knows how bad marriages end and how abusive men can be so something may have just snapped and for the sake of the daughter which she may have genuinely loved, decided to put the murder together.

Psychology student here: in terms of her blacking out and the possibility of escalation of abuse I believe her story is more than likely true. In cycle of abuse they often do this of love bombing then slowly escalating to big break of abuse. Before it just happened emotionally but it’s common for abuse to increase such as going from emotional to physical. Often even getting to the point of abusive spouse killing the victim of abuse. With her background of prior childhood abuse she most likely would disassociate due to it being her brains built in response of abuse. Emotionally charged and taunting her and her having him take away the one thing that was everything to her (their daughter) it lead to her killing him. This as she described put her in adrenaline when realizing what she had done and possibly of again losing her daughter to act abnormally and feel it was her only choice. Do I think she should’ve dismembered him instead of calling police no. But she most likely didn’t trust police and often abuse victims are not believed and she probably panicked and so she did what she did.

Did she black out, and disassociate when she went to the victims parents and lied to them about him running off after commiting such a haneous crime trying to cover her own ass? There's actually more evidence that points towards her being a cold calculating psycopath, rather then that of an abused dissociated women. If you killed someone who abused you in self defense could you imagine yourself then proceeding to cut up the body? The thought of cutting up a body makes me sick. If i killed someone who abused me, and wanted to get away with it. I would dispose of the body without chopping them up, thats just sick. And if you absolutely had to chop up the body to conceal evidence you'd have to be a total psycopath to do it, and not be absolutely ashamed of yourself afterwards. being able to lie to the parents face, and manipulate both them and the police at first just reinforces that she may very well be a psycopath. And to add the cherry on top she did it to the man she loved. How can someone capable of remorse go through with precicely cutting up there spouse? I really think she killed him because he was about to leave to cheat on her. I have CPTSD and I understand disassociating and “blacking” out from fear, I could even understand her shooting him in a split second because of her mental state. What I don’t understand is instead of calling the police she dismembers, skins, and hides his body, then plays the grieving wife to try to get away with it. That shows something deeply wrong with her as a person, close to evil. I feel rage and intense anger from triggers but I know that I have to get therapy and I would never hurt someone else even in an altered mental state because I know it’s still wrong. I believe Eliza. I think the escalation of abuse made her snap. Remember, she grew up in an unsafe environment and had been repeatedly traumatized. When you go through stuff like that and then find yourself in that kind of situation again and there’s a gun, a weapon that doesn’t depend on overpowering someone… you’re going to enter fight or flight mode, with the chance of it being ‘fight’ increased based on the proximity of the gun. Fight or flight situations release a TON of cortisol and it’s mentally draining. She was likely in a detached state throughout the whole ordeal, including the dismemberment and removal of the body. Eliza mentioned realizing how this would affect their daughter and lemme tell you, the motivation to protect someone who is both dear to you and defenseless after you’ve been through horrible things? It can become all-consuming. It may sound like a contradiction to the detached state, but it’s something that occurs as a product of complex traumas. It is very much possible to be detached and have a singular thought control all you do. This came from instincts she developed over her life that were meant to protect her. All jailing can do in this scenario is provide a place to practice suppressing those instincts. The best thing for her, and society, would be extensive trauma therapy (EMDR especially imo). Developing a strong support system would be incredibly helpful. She probably felt like it was her (and her daughter) against the world. Were her actions wrong? Undoubtedly. That doesn’t mean we can’t feel sympathy for her. This world, and our brains, are incredibly complex. I will note that I *am* biased in this situation, due to having a lot of similarities with Eliza’s upbringing. I’m a bleeding heart and her ex-husband reminds me a lot of one of my abusers. But I am also intimately familiar with a lot of the ways trauma can affect behavior, especially in an escalating situation, so I don’t think my opinion is all for naught. Like, I also snapped the first time I was cheated on and the only reason I didn’t punch him in the face was because my very good friends physically restrained me (don’t worry, I did get therapy and I’m doing a lot better). Btw, weird coincidence, but that ex DOES live in Brazil now. Anyways, everyone remember to drink water, take your meds, and talk to a professional if you have thoughts of hurting yourself or others.

I agree. I have ptsd, I have some similarities to Elize in my history… when things go wrong or I’m in an emergency situation I go cold and instead of blacking out I’ll remember every second of the trauma and all erroneous details I normally wouldn’t. I just don’t let myself feel any emotions until I feel safe again and then I feel it all. A therapist said I do that so I’m ready for police reports and court cases or to talk to doctors since I had to do a lot of that but never saw any justice for all that happened to me in my formative years so my brain decides instead if I feel any panic I need all the details for the future. It’s like we all either black out and block memory of what’s happened or we know in such clear details that our recollection seems fake because too many things are sealed into memory. I don’t think I’d ever snap and kill anyone, though. I watch true crime mostly so if I am in a situation again maybe I can make sure there’s more evidence (I also can only watch things where the case is solved).

She said she did it because she knew her daughter needed a mother so I still feel sympathy for her. I think she cut him up because mother's will do anything for their children. Also her daughter being in the next room could have kept her motivated. Let me edit this. So you can't help your emotions. U can't help who u r attracted to or anything like that. If you have any type of imbalance in your brain, it can affect those things significantly. You r a victim of your own brain basically. I don't believe anyone is actually at fault for anything tbh. It's just how their brains are. That being said if they are a danger they should be away from the general population. It's a mental illness. Some people are pure evil I know that but most cases of crime are because the person's brain makes them feel certain ways so they so certain things. Some people can control it but some cant. Many serial killers feel remorse after killing and don't want to do it anymore but their brains don't work like a normal persons.

No, if she truly loved her daughter, she wouldn’t have chopped up her father and stopped halfway through to breastfeed her and then go back to cutting him up (autopsy, the investigation and the babysitter’s testimony revealed that). She wouldn’t be making documentaries or writing a book she plans on selling to tell about the murder she did. She would’ve done the same as his ex wife: gotten a divorce. By the prosecution’s evidence, you can tell her version makes very little sense (the bulletwound was burned, the angle was completely off, etc). She’s using her daughter as a shield.

I understand the thought process, reasoning behind cutting him up. She's literally been taught that that's how you deal with a dead thing cut it up. People say he deserved it but I think that's messed up. The wife I believe is also guilty because she had many chances to save both herself and Jonathan but didn't and only cared about protecting herself. Nick Browning who killed his parents and his two younger brothers. Pretty crazy case. My heart broke most for the poor young boys. Chris Watts, the probably most famously talked about case where he killed his wife and two daughters after having an affair. The sick fucker lied that he saw his wife strangling their daughters and in turn strangled her to death. The reason why that excuse is BS is cause if that were true then why would he hide his daughters' bodies at his workplace? That just doesn't add up.

@TonksTheFool Жыл бұрын
It could obviously still be a story but at the same time, the ex wife wasn't a sex worker. You'll be surprised how vile people get with them and excuse it as being apart from how they treat others. They see them as 'lesser than'. Him flirting with escorts like he can upgrade his car model seem sus as fuck to me. So, in this case that pattern isn't exactly needed for it to be true. People change depending on the status they deem a person and exhibit different behaviours - not all are textbook with the constant patterns. It doesn't excuse murder, ofc. But if it's true, those are pressure points where she most likely turned her head off to protect herself after those types of threats.

@DoitsuNeko Жыл бұрын
I adore your channel, but I do wanna tell a lil bit more about this case. This is one that even over here in Brazil there is a lot of misinformation and people basically believing lies. First, there is no evidence he was abusive aside from the words of a known murderer and liar. Elize had previously lied about an attempt on her life made by him, for example (said he tried to poison her). The claims she made that he would curse her out/call her names were never proven either, and his previous partners disagree with her version of him being verbally or physically abusive (financially, it's muddy) Second, I absolutely despise cheaters, but using that is NOT an argument for killing someone. Doesn't matter the gender. Thirdly, she was abusive and had threatened to kill him before. The relationship as a whole was toxic, but she was the most abusive; his abuse was cheating and neglect (again, possibly financial). Nothing else. Custody battle wouldn't have been an issue either - though, to be honest, neither seemed like they would be good parents. Not gonna count anymore, but he was killed bringing back a pizza for sure - based on the cameras and other evidence, her version doesn't hold. The entrance wound and distance prove that it couldn't have been self defense, and that he couldn't even see her when she pulled the trigger - the height difference makes it so just lowering his head wouldn't explain it. He literally had just gotten back in the apartment. Now, for the dismemberment... she did it over a long period of time, stopping to feed her baby. The nanny and the baby were home during most of it. She started by the head and he had aspirated blood, meaning he was alive when she started chopping him up. Her defense argued that the shot left him brain dead, but we have no way to know for sure and it still counts as decapitating him alive. There is a lot wrong on how the case was portrayed, especially in the media, but she is simply evil. I'm seeing, yet again, a lot of people sympathizing with her. She deserves no sympathy for what she did. Over the years she always tried to paint a different picture and look meek and innocent. Despite being caught lying several times, it saddens me to see people believing her. There are some good documentaries about this case, but the best ones have no subtitles in english (Investigação Criminal, on Prime, has a good episode about it). The Netflix one is good to consider sexism involved in the media, but for NOTHING else. Elize kept repeating lies, especially several things already proven to simply be impossible. This case is just a mess. But never feel sorry for her - what she did was cruel in so many ways it's unbelievable. He was a shitty person, but no one deserves to die like that

How can you cut your husband up seeing his face and body the whole time, all while your baby is next door. I can’t even fathom how any human could do that to another
@Clipknoti Жыл бұрын
Which is why I think the accusations are false , not only did she do that she said it was for her daughter knowing this would ruin her life , true reason was the jealousy of her not being good enough for Marcos after having a bad background and a man that actually loved her for her was living life with another women drove her to the edge , hence the private investigator

I’ve been bouncing back and forth between your older videos and newer ones, and I’m so proud of how much you’ve grown on your channel. You’ve opened your personality up to us so much, you get into the storytelling so much more. Anyways, love you Elliiiieeeee ❤️

I think it’s very reasonable to consider the possibility of her fabricating an abusive past with her husband and that her claims of self defense are false. I don’t think that’s a misogynistic argument, I do however agree that bringing up her past as an escort is completely irrelevant as well as accusations about her infidelity and their child’s conception. I also think it’s unlikely she did this all to gain his wealth considering she already had access to the finances. Her claims seem very convenient and the physical evidence doesn’t align with self defense. In my opinion I think she was done wrong by her husband multiple times, and in the moment she killed him out of spite.

Facts, Elanor is showing her misandry in the video 🤣 She's constantly narrating the story in a way to get everyone to feel sympathy for Eliza and telling everyone that the husband was abusive... And then late in the video, she says "oh btw it could all be fabricated by Eliza but only misogynistic men think this"

Finally laying down to watch this and… wow. I honestly have know idea what to think about the entirety of this situation. If he wasn’t “lucky with the ladies” it makes you wonder why, was there a form of manipulation or abuse? And on the other hand, WHY DID SHE DISMEMBER HIM. I want so bad to feel sympathy for another abuse victim, but she actively cut up his body and disposed of it, and that doesn’t sit right with me.
@emilymoran3224 Жыл бұрын
Would you think it was to dehumanise him, another form of disassociation from what she did? Or just so she could physically dispose of the body 🤔
@MaiXoxo3 Жыл бұрын
She was trying to get rid of his body/evidence that she murdered him that's why she dismember him.
@tomsmith6513 Жыл бұрын
@@emilymoran3224 if he was abusive, it would have been a form of revenge. All that anger, rage and resentment bottled up and it was being released. Maybe part of it was practical, so she could scatter the body.

I haven’t started watching the video yet, but just in case it wasn’t covered here, the dude used to humiliate her because of her past as a call girl. He used to say horrible things to her about her. He was actually a disgusting type of man who used to treat women like sh*t. He used to write reviews on a specialized website for call girls about the girls he used to lay down with, and the way he spoke about them is just degrading. None of this justify but just to show a different perspective that the video might not have shown.

@niamhl6964 Жыл бұрын
Honestly I can understand her internal logic when she decided to dismember him and cover up the murder, because she was probably thinking about the fact she would never see her daughter again if she was caught. The thought of losing a child can make people do things they never would've done otherwise

If you they’ll do it with you, they’ll do it to you. Ladies, do not let a guy cheat on his girl with you. Even if he leaves her for you (which he probably won’t, even if he says he will) you really think he’ll suddenly became a faithful man and never cheat on you? Sorry, that’s just delusional.

I’m Brazilian and I recommend everybody to watch the Netflix documentary on Elize’s side of the story. There was much more into the relationship, he was an abuser and a violent guy, who thought he could get away with everything because he was absurdly rich.
