The Land Rover Defender is a British institution. When production ended back in 2016, die-hard fans were waiting with held breath to see how Land Rover would modernise it. It is fair to say that despite how good the new Defender is, many don't see it as a true replacement for the traditional Land Rover, and perhaps it's paying to close attention to the market that the Discovery used to appeal to. So how do you retain all that made the original so well-loved whilst improving on it, and also modernising it for the age of electrification? Step forward Twisted, the Yorkshire based specialist who have made improving the Defender the back-bone of their business for over twenty years. It's still a Defender, and an electric one at that, but more importantly, it's a Twisted Defender. And as Bryan finds out in this latest episode of 'Electric Icons', that makes it very special indeed.
