Hi guys another fantastic episode i never thought of that to ask the customer for picture of driving license some customers ask for a test drive and can be bit happy on the gas pedal when driving.I definitely will in future.also with some who say they have fully comp insurance that covers them to drive a vehicle 🚗 saves the comebacks.

Should always take a photo or photocopy of the driving licence, and check out the license they could be banned or not come back with the car

Then go on with carpet extractor fluid 1:50 ish mixed 5 litre pump sprayer with some squirts strong APC green star Koch khmemme. I’ve even been forced onto TFR oily seats. Does this eat foam done once not repeated do you know. Know shouldn’t. But need eat the oil and sometimes paint marks £1999 heavy soiled budget cars. Cheers

I understand you've got to do the lease handover and get it approved before you let the car go, just stopping the dd will mark you down on your credit (business) file, seems a right nightmare, car can have an hpi marker put on it as well.

It’s a bloody nightmare, they’ve sent solicitors letters, we’ve sent all the evidence, made sure the new keeper has took on the lease! Time I don’t need to be wasting

If you proposed the NEW customer to Mobilize (Renault Baytery Lease Company) AND Mobilize accepted the new customer THEN the new customer has to SIGN the new battery lease. Ask your customer if they have had any direct debits taken yet? If they have already made some payments you are on a winner and can inform Mobilize that new customer is already paying....​@@cardealerpro

Lads, ive been to court before on 2 occasions. I know the law inside out but it really does depend on the judge on the day. I genuinely think you would have had a great chance of having the case dismissed. Your business relationship with Close Brothers has muddied the waters. You've decided to let a customer walk over you because of the bigger picture. But sometimes you have to swallow your pride for the sake of your blood pressure. It just stings cos its so unfair.

If close bros get the car back and cancel his finance, if he didn't put much deposit or a p ex in and you got it for a grand less, maybe a used engine at a grand, chuck a chain on it and re sell, you'll be probably 2 to 2.5k down, but troublesome customer gone, or chuck a used engine in it, with a chain, that's a 2k deal but as your mate says your on the hook for ever, if chains come off, I doubt it's broke engines toast really, could be low oil or low oil pressure that's caused the tensioner to back off, when the same happend to me I still owned the mini and put it on FB as non runner, lost 2.5k,i don't buy minis anymore.

@@cardealerpro it'll not just be the chain, valves will be bent, or at least rockers, if it's caused by low oil pressure or lack of oil engines toast, tbh if customers not kept on top of oil it's his fault, basically a litre per 1000 miles is not uncommon.

Early Renault Zoe's were lease battery, they moved away from that model and offered owners to buy out the battery. Could this be a case that this buy out has been initiated but final balance not paid? Can't see you did anything wrong, a mere admin error surely.

Mobilize: You would ONLY have to pay the Full Amount of the Zoe Battery Lease IF you had requested to buy out the lease or the car has just been written off in an accident. Otherwise MOBILIZE should ONLY be asking for the MISSING payments that have not been made. The Mobilize letter should have a phone number on it, I would ring them and talk through what THEY think is the situation, then you can tell them what you did regarding the new Customer and the Battery Lease

Close bros are in trouble, shares have tanked with the news of the finance commission payments scandal, they've not paid their dividend to shareholders and have put aside many millions for compensation payments, which will not be enough, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't sink a few finance companies, so expecting help from them is not likely to happen, they'll be tasked with making savings where they can.
