More Land Rover Warranty Problems and 2 Cars get Rejected

The suns out and Dave is in a good mood despite another Land Rover coming back with warranty problems. James day goes from bad to worse, finance deals falling through and 2 vehicles are rejected.

Hi guys the Peugeot 2008 1.2 petrols are wet belts they are bad news, they have the same problems as the eco boost has with the wet belt deteriorating and blocking the oil pick up and destroying the engine. Steer well clear of all Peugeot 1.2 petrols.

Yes Peugeot 1.2 2008 and 3008 are a wet belt and do shred the belt as the Ford eco boost do. £600 is a good price to repair. They also suffer from spark plug tips melting which personally I think is due to shit e10 fuel.

Rear washer not working is a common issue on JLR cars....usually the pipe has come off.Get to it by Nearside wheel and remove arch liner to expose water reservoir/pipe connection.

Yes! Wet belt on 1200 Pug guys and does same as eco boost. So check if they have had belt think it's every 5 yrs

Ask the customer to take you out in the car to show you the noises. Chances are he won’t be able to get it to make a noise then your done. If not you will hear it and sort it 👍

Yes, they have a wet belt engine, you can actually see the belt condition thru the oil filler cap, same problems as the ford engine. 600 is a good price tbh.

@@cardealerpro yes bud, I've got one here and you can see it's a bit ragged, looked at one at Astons the other week and could see it was new, that's why I always go in person, I'm absolutely all over a car I'm interested in, it saves loads of trouble later on, as you say even late stuff is a nightmare, shouldn't be, but it is.

1.2 pure wet timing belt. Get genuine kit put it on & you can resell with guarantee. Oil needs to be specific to belt also 👍. Give the client a bottle of the correct oil. Confirm service intervals also with your handover pack / agreement 👍. If that 2008 is a 1.2 then best change that too unless it's already been done.

Disinfectant or smelly / vulflora. Does this eat anything like the carpet extraction fluid / APC / g101. I know it kills disease but don't think it does anything with dirt. I've started using it ahead of carpet extraction fluid on seats to pre wet them with a nice smelly

On that Peugeot 2008 if it’s petrol is going to be a 1.2 Puretech which have a wet belt just like the ford Ecobooms. There trouble! Be careful as well with Vauxhalls as they use the Same 1.2 Engine in the newer models that Citroen/Peugeot do!

Hi Guy's. Just to confirm 1.2 3 cylinder engine in the 2008. Is a wet belt system. I own one (2014 model). It worries me no end when it may go. At present it has 47.000 on the clock. Hope not to own it much longer as I miss Automatic Gearbox. See you in the next on. 👍👍

Peugeot/Citroen 1.2 petrol engines are in my opinion horrible. Just like the Ecoboost they have wet belts and can suffer from belt degradation resulting in oil starvation. Best avoided.
