Electric Steering Column Retrofit BMW e60

This superb BMW e60 from 2008 will receive an electric steering column retrofit, for this operation I need an electrically adjustable column, specific for LCI, control module, actuation button, and the necessary wiring. all parts used are from a parts car. And in the end need coding.

Hey there, the way you present the process from A to Z is really great, sets a great example for proper car retrofitting work. I imagine for wiring you can just sit down and inspect wiring diagrams until you've figured out exactly how to wire things? The big thing I am wondering is for example in your retrofit seats on e60 video you add in the new seats option into several modules, as well as here you pick the SZL_e60_e24 module.. How do you know which modules does the feature/option need to be programmed into? Is there maybe something I could read or study to learn this? Thanks.

Salut ovidiu. Masina mea are coloana electrica si are blocator. Este 2008. Am luat coloana electrica tot dupa 2008 si nu are . Banuiesc ca nu l pot muta dupa una pe alta. Daca l cumpar separat il pot monta trebuie programat sau cv?

Salut Ovidiu, crezi ca ai putea sa ma ajuti si pe mine? Am facut acest retrofit dar din nefericire, volanul nu se ridica si nici nu coboara , este codat si aparent toate setarile si cablurile sunt trase corect. Am schimbat cu alta coloana dar accelas lucru.

Hello, fist that car doesn't have a fuel pump relay, that car has a control unit for that called EKPS, since you don't know that and search for a relay, I think you don't know what you're doing. Don't get me wrong, is nothing wrong if you don't know because you don't need to know, but in your case I recommend you to find a specialist in your area to diagnose the car and eventually to repair it.

@@MOvidiu my bmw 525d 3.0 E60 cranks but not starts. We diagnosed and found that there is no fuel which went through the engine. We bought a green fuel pump relay (As suggested by BMW considering our model) and replaced it by the blue relay (DDE Relay), then fuel went to the engine. We did it for testing purpose. Reading you message, it seems that they are wrong and there is no green color fuel pump Relay in that car ( BMW E60 525d 3.0L engine M57 year 2009). if we change the ekps WE could probably fix the issue. Thanks in advance.

Salut. Te deranjez cu o intrebare, daca vrei sa mi raspunzi. Vreau sa montez pe un e60lci de europa, oglinzile de pe un e61lci, tot de europa, care are modelul de oglinzi de f10, masina fiind din 2010. Pot face treaba asta, avand in vedere ca a mea nu are rabatare electrica din fabrica si e primul lci din 2007? Le pot face sa se rabateze doar din cheie, sau trebuie neaparat schimbate si butoanele de pe fata de usa? Mersi!

Salut, depinde ce luna din 2007 e masina dar fiind din 2007 nu e LCI e preLCI si nu conteaza ca masina e de Europa / Africa sau America , va trebui sa vezi ce echipare are masina si daca e pe platforma veche cu SGM SIM .

E posibil sa nu poti monta oglinzile de LCI , trebuie sa verifici ce am zis eu mai sus , Masina e preLCI din A8-A 2008 e LCI , din a5a 2007 e preLCI , masina are faruri si stopuri de LCI dar e pe platforma veche cu cutia de viteze veche ( daca e automata ) cu instalatia electrica pe platforma veche , si posibil sa fie cu SGM SIM

@@MOvidiu salut. Te mai deranjez cu o intrebare, daca imi poti raspunde te rog. La oglinzi am renunțat, dar as vrea sa cumpar alte scaune fata, recaro si incalzite. Pana aici ok. A mea e 2007 asa cum am zis si mai sus, facelift doar pe stopuri si alea. Masina de pe care vreau scaunele e nfl, incalzite si semielectrice exact ca si ale mele, inclusiv culoarea. Exista vreo varianta sa aflam daca sunt plug and play ? Oare le demontez ale mele si le montez celelalte si e totul ok? Vreau recaro in locul celor standard. Mersi si scuze de deranj!

@@dragos002 E greu cu ala, in afara faptului ca iti trebuie panoul de A/C auto , fie el de pre-LCI sau LCI, ai nevoie de clapetele automate pentru distribuirea aerului la picioare, in bord si la parbriz, care aici sunt manuale (cablu). La fel, aeroterma e diferita, plus firele ce duc la compresor sunt altele, fire care duc la DME. Se poate face, dar trebuie dat bordul jos, etc. Probabil Mr Ovidiu poate face si asta, dar e un job de dificultate 8/10.
