This isn't helping people that can't afford an EV. It's helping people with a high net worth and a smaller annual income like retired people get fancy cars for $9000 off. I'm blown away that this welfare for rich liberals is happening. Why wouldn't we use these millions of dollars to tow away all of the broke down motor homes sitting along our city streets or use it to build charging infrastructure for electric cars. The last thing it should go to is retired people that have the title to a million plus dollar home and enough in savings to buy 20 Teslas if they wanted to.

I don't want my taxes funding an industry that can't stand on it's own. If electric vehicles are not a cost effective option according to the market, let them fade away.
