Hello from the gulf side of Florida, first that chop is more like 5ft not 10ft and a 19ft boat can handle that easily. Electrical fires burn black, they DO NOT burn pure white, they also don't last that long, either a wire will burn through or an actual fire will start making more black smoke. Marine batteries don't arc, they're specifically built not to, unless you just threw a random car battery in there that's not a thing. Last but not least, if there was ANY evidence or damage from a real fire they would have filmed it. They will film literally anything for views and they somehow just didn't get any damage of any kind on film, amazing.

Hey man, so I'm born and raised on this island. I havent put so much thought into this clip till I read this post. The whole television fucks are basically making money off of locals while the folks on this episode get barely nothing. Its discrimination in front of pepples eyes. Continuing on your post: the people that direct these tv shows juss want a "excitement" part to an episode, I respect your comment. A few fishermen local natives dont got money for a boat. We freedive and paddle to our fishing spots. This show is all about views. Juss like American jungle(another hawaiian based show). BTW I knew hunters from that show, and the directors purposely made them make scenes that would NEVER happen local to local.

Add the time crunch for snapper Eh whatever I guess everyone knows it’s all bullshit. But entertaining. What I don’t like is the way they use Phil Harris as show pony for the show. I absolutely love this show I have followed Josh dad grabbing since day one and now to watch Josh fish the Pacific for such stunning fish is a sight for sore eyes. I am gobsmacked at these fish and their unbelievable conditions . These native lads in Hawaii are master's at their crafts. My only worry is that these Apax fish are rare gems and our sea (The Pacific ) must have more area's that need the same protections we afford our area's of land. Less than 1% of the sea is protected. For the sake of our children we need to protect more of our sea's and the wonderful bounty of creatures and fish in them. With technology these days the fish have knowhere to run or hide .

My buddy was at a boat show back around 2005, he seen started watching this video clip next to a couple new fishing boats and it showed someone hitting the hull with a sludge hammer and it didn’t damage the hull. My buddy and his dad laughed and the salesman came over asking why he’s laughing? He said if I hit that hull I’m gonna smash a hole in the hull. The salesman gave him a sludge hammer and said if you put a hole in the hull I’ll give you the bot for free. So he starts hitting and the salesman says hit it harder then takes the sludge hammer from him hitting as hard as he possibly can and it didn’t put a hole in the hull. The salesman showed him some other stuff about how the material the boat is made of is so buoyant it will not sink you could cut the boat in half and it won’t sink. It also has a self bailing hull so if the boat takes on water all you need to do is start driving and the water comes out the back. My buddy and his dad both bought one of these boats they got like 21ft fishing boats. They had a place on thousand islands and one day he hit a shoul going pretty fast they hit so hard the boat stopped and my buddy flew off the boat but no damage to boat just some scratches. Another day he had about 8 people on the boat and a couple massive waves came from a huge oil tanker that filled the boat with water there was only a good 5 inches till the water would have went over the sides, waves kept coming over the boat he just opened up the throttle all the way it took a while but eventually the boat drained by itself. I wish I remembered the name of the company but I’m sure you could Google it and find out the company. If I was going to buy a small fishing boat like what these guys are using that’s what I would buy for sure. I have never been a fan of open bow boats let alone fishing boats because they are so open you can take on so much water so fast. I got caught in some 10ft waves in a small 16ft boat year ago it was really scary because the boat was so small I had 2 girls and my buddy who is not someone to every be scared, the girls were crying and my buddy looked like he wanted to cry they were yelling at me to turn around but If I would have turned in the channel the boat would have flipped over I said put ur life jackets on give me a life jacket and shut the fuck up and left me drive, waves were coming over the windshield dumping water in the boat and I was throttling up the waves I know what I’m doing so finally I get out of the channel and got a flat spot to turn around and soon as I got on top of a wave I rode that wave all the way back in the channel. The boat took on a lot of water it was up past the floor but I put in a bilge pump so big that I had to drill out a much bigger hole in the transom because the pump was so much bigger the tube was twice the size it came with a 300gph and I put in a 5,000gph pump because I’d rather be safe then sorry and if I didn’t have such a big pump the boat prolly would have sank but the biggest thing and reason for this long comment is if I had an open bow boat it would have sank because I had waves going over my windshield still filling my boat with water and if it was open bow after just 2 of them waves the boat would have sank. Every time I get a boat the first thing I do is put in the biggest bilge pump in that I can even if it has a big pump I put a new one in just to be safe and I keep the old pump with a long hose and clips so I can hook up to a battery easy just incase the other pump doesn’t work. Then I replace the starter, alternator, fuel pump, fuel line & filter, rebuild the carburetor, full tune up, belts, take lower unit out new u-joints, have the seals replaced in lower unit, new sea pump every year, check bellows, 2 new batteries with a switch or terminal that I can turn one battery off when I’m going to sit for a while. People think I’m crazy when I do this stuff but after being in 10+ ft waves in a 16ft boat I want to make sure the boat is running perfectly because if my little 16ft died on me in them waves I wouldn’t be typing this now. My next boat I will be installing 2 of the biggest bilge pumps and also a small generator just incase the alternator stops charging or if my batteries die then I can charge the batteries or if I can’t start the engine I can have power to pump water out and use the radio. All this stuff really isn’t that expensive if you consider your family and your life is priceless and the cost of a tow on the water is expensive. You don’t need to buy a fancy marine generator you can just buy one of them 2,000 watt Honda or HarborFreight generators and have a power inverter. You might never need it but just the one time you need it, it’s gonna be worth it. One time I was out in the lake testing a boat I just bought and the battery wasn’t charging because the belt was loose, I had a jump box with me so I shut the engine off, tightened the belt and the battery was so weak it wouldn’t start and the jump box said it was charged but the battery in the jump box must have had a cell going bad so I left the jump box on the battery for 10 minutes, I sprayed a little starting fluid in the carb and the engine barely spun over but started up thank god because it was dark out and had 5 ft waves.

The show is half fake man ever since Casey came on to the Cornelia marie it hasn’t been the same don’t care for the guy he acts like he owns the whole boat nothing even wrong with the boat pretty sad that they have to pretend to brake down an use a smoke machine drama
