I lived 30 km from Biba and was about 6 or 7 years old ('96 maybe) when I first saw his show. Back then, he didn't claim there was anything unexplainable and my dad and uncle (uncle's an electrician) explained the trick with the skin. English documentaries are not very honest since Biba doesn't speak English, so my best guess is they came, taped it all and then wrapped in 'unsolved mysteries'. I don't know about recent shows, I'm not interested in watching it. And, he really believes the electricity massage can help some stuff. It's not exactly a con, it's more Tesla the Divine Serb and Electricity is unexplored territory, a very common thing in half-overeducated population in Serbia. The education is pretty broad but unfinished, and there's this weird Slavic mysticism and science mixture. If I remember correctly, there might be something else - there's no hair on his body at all, and there might be something else about his skin, except it being dry as the mouth of a hungover Serb. If someone could enlighten me and rectify these facts, I'd be grateful.

@handhdhd65227 жыл бұрын
Zheeraffa1 I speak the language. Struja means power. u don't say 220 volts of watts. U say power. 220 volts of power is what I meant. I've taken chemistry and physics classes. Amps are coulombs over seconds. Watts are volts per second. Emf comes from a redox reaction which cell potential comes from reduction potentials and you can tell if a specific reaction is spontaneous by calculating change in Gibbs free energy, if ur feeling special u can use the Nernst eq to find non standard potential and change in free energy. Here's r the eqs dG= -nFE E= E(standard) - ((RT)/(nF))lnQ I know what I'm talking about I don't need a lecture.

Hey Mehdi, watching you for couple of years now, this is my second, or third time watching this particular clip, so I guess a bit of context wouldn't hurt. Anyway, Biba was born with some sort of condition. He has no body hair. But more importantly, no sweat glands some say. Either way, by his own admition he never sweats. He discovered his high level of tolerance to voltage when he was a kid, fiddling with sockets with wires. From there on, he got into fairs and circuses where he learned the tricks, which were common there. This was in '80s of I remember correctly. In the '90s, country was in pretty ludicrous state, and so was the television. In sea of fortune tellers and hoaxers he started getting invited to TV shows. From which he could make a decent living, in a county where most of population were making few euros a month in today's money. So, take 'decent' with a grain of salt. Into the 2000s he fell into obscurity. With lack of income, he started this 'healing' business, which turned into a road trip. He had set up his shop in my town one year. Finally, he entered French version of talents show. Which is how everybody heard of him, and eventually you. To summarise, he has a normal house, and a normal wife. He is not making big bucks or anything. It's not some scamming thief, just a man doing magicians tricks with wery resistive skin. There is the matter of 'medical' treatment, but in that regard he is no worse than homeopathy dudes, holistic healers, mediation dudes, nutritionists etc. At least he never claimed that he can cure diseases, let alone cancer or anything, as far as I know. There was that Stan Lee sported, awful, superpowers show. He simply jumped at the occasion, and I can't really blame him for that. So, this basically is who Biba Struja (Current) is. That host at the end of the clip is the father of my nephew, btw. 🙂

Few years ago scientist did observe this guy do these tricks and they've managed to repeat them on themselves and then explained what is actually going on. There is an article here www.b92.net/zivot/nauka.php?nav_id=562254 Try using google translator. If there's something odd, ask me and I'll fix the translation for you. Also funny how there's something from my place on this channel.
@StereoBucket8 жыл бұрын
But yeah in short, it is known that all he is doing is tricks. Though he does have a skin condition which does increase his skin resistance by about 10 times, so he is more resistant to current .

The elementary school teacher that taught us basic electronics said that her teacher could touch 220V without even feeling them. That´s why he was really valued as an electrician. But as you said, never take that as immunity. He died when touching 220V.

@@charlyGnarly187 No, his elbow touched the wire and completed circuit
@areefrahman6336 жыл бұрын
@@charlyGnarly187 Exactly. And since the wire is a good conductor of electricity, the current flowing through his high resistance body would be negligible (few μA).
@longlostwraith51066 жыл бұрын
+ Areef Rahman It depends on the resistance the primary circuit has, as well as the resistance from his tongue to his elbow at that particular moment. If his elbow was pressed against the wire, skin resistance would drop way low, upping the current to a a few mA. Also, a fork isn't that a good electrical conductor to begin with, steel has much more inherent resistance than copper.

@@longlostwraith5106 The primary circuit (copper wire) has a very negligible resistance (
@AbhishekThakur-wl1pl6 жыл бұрын
@Techtastisch 75 here is your answer, The forks seems to be in a closed loop, but they're not. If you watched that carefully, the one of the fork from supply touches his tongue first and while the other fork not yet touched on the way, his elbow touches the open wire from the bulb completing the circuit. And zapped the hell out of him. Hopefully that answers your queries ☺️

A sparet nebi upalio nikada.
