Hi, this or the Cannondale compact Neo ?? I’m trying to decide for short commute and grocery getter Thanks 🙏
@ElectricBikeReview2 ай бұрын
Great question! If we compare the two the Lectric comes out on top with Black Friday, here's why: Priced at $1,099 vs the Neo at $1,900, the long range version of the lectric has the carbon belt drive (over the Cannondale chain drive), the Lectric has a larger 350W motor, 375Wh battery w/ 80 miles range over the Cannondale's 250W motor, 250Wh battery and 47 mile range. Plus the Lectric on Black Friday is tossing in a few freebies like a rear rack, fenders, bike lock, brighter headlight and a suspension seatpost. All in all, both are certainly great bikes, but the value in Lectric is hard to beat. Take a look: ebreviewdeals.com/XP-Lite-2 Cheers!-Mike

The Lectric XP Lite 2.0 is a newly upgraded version of our lightest and most affordable eBike to date, the XP Lite. Weighing in at just 49 pounds, the foldable XP Lite is ready to tackle everything from trips into town to exciting joyrides with a Lectrifying twist of the throttle. A Gates Carbon Drive Belt system provides nearly maintenance-free functionality! On top of that, enjoy hydraulic brakes, Lectric PWR programming, an LCD color display, and much more. The XP Lite 2.0 also includes an option to add a long-range battery.

The 2.0 is just too heavy to be loading and unloading from the car. I can do it but it is kind of a struggle. You are going to feel more of the road flaws on the Lite because of the smaller tires and no suspension but you can put a suspension seat on the Lite which should help some. The Lite also only has one gear so if you are in a very hilly area, it might not work well for you. So it depends on what you are going to use it for and how strong you are.

If you’re in PS1, (or other speeds), and don’t peddle, can you “tweak” the throttle so you’re only moving about 2-4 mph, or are you restricted to the speed of the PS you selected??
@ElectricBikeReview29 күн бұрын
Hi Bob, you can modulate the throttle in PAS1, however, it will just have a limit to how fast it can go in that PAS level, so for example if the P1 speed is set to max at 10 mph, you would likely be only able to modulate throttle and speeds between about 2mph to 10mph where it would hit its limit. Then in PAS 2, it might be controllable up to about 14 mph (these are just arbitrary numbers for example). Hope that helps! -Mike

Do you have the 1.0 or the 2.0?

@@Allaiya. I got the old style one with a chain and a cadence sensor that is slightly slow in turning on the power. My XP lite cost me about $1000 because I got the cargo carry racks and paniers. The battery is a bit small but I can live with that. What angers me is that they sold me this bike and no sooner do I put it to use and suddenly there is a new model with all the things (except the derailer) I feel would decrease my disappointment with both the speed and range and reliability . The chain requires periodic adjustment to keep it on the freewheel. It is a bitch to be at max distance from home and to have the chain flip off the freewheel. I asked if they could provide an update kit with chain wheels replaced with belt instead of chain, possibly a few more teeth worth of increase on crank diameter. They brag about listening to their cusomers...don't count on it. They just pushed away my suggestion and me at the same time. What I need is to be able to move at 20 mph on flat ground. As it stands now the gearing (chain) does not facilitate doing 20 mph if you are using the pedals. You ghost peddal at 20 and with pedal assist. I need the additional torque from peddaling and just can't pedal that fast. I say don't let them fool you. I wish I had bought either a more powerful bike (500 watts and derailer was available from other supplier the week my bike was delivered. 350 watts is weak without a higher gear ration or a larger motor. Also the battery is only 7.8 amp hours. The new model is available with a lot more battery. I will wear this thing our but won't trust Lectric in the future.

Lastly, although I have the long-range battery, I do NOT get the 80-miles that is claimed on Lectric’s website. I contacted Lectric about this issue to see if this was normal and they didn’t answer my question, but told me to check all of the connections, which I did and everything appears to be connected correctly. I don’t buy an E Bike now, this market is flooded with junks at the moment. You can’t identify what’s a good deal and good quality bike. I rather wait few years so that the features and engineering get better. I feel like it’s a waste of money to buy something that doesn’t last or no service at the moment.

There’s actually junk and good e-bikes out there just gotta do your research and get the best one

There are at least 2 or 3 US based companies in the market, and with the whole post coof downturn, the time to buy any type of bike is now, electric or not

You could say that every year and never buy one as they are always improving and the market changes… Just get one and enjoy your life.

@@PumpUptheJam81 it has to be the right bike. It’s an investment to me. I’m trying to get rid of my cars and just riding e-bike to save money

@@KaioshinAemi I got you but for me an e-bike is my everyday vehicle, so I wouldn't be able to wait years for the market to cool down
