Aaron, i have organized Severals trucks in the past 51 yrs. You have got me beaten hands down. I have Step Vans, Service utility bodies and those damn vans too. Me personally i would kept the Silverado over a Ford or Dodge. You must have the patience of a saint!!!!! Your ideas are great !!! I personally have never used a pick up for electrical contracting or service work. All that weight you are carrying are you sure that 1/2 ton pick up isnt overloaded??? Again a fantastic ideas and job on designing your truck Aaron!!!! I am in Michigan and I would too hire you in a heartbeat because all of work you have done on your truck you MUST BE A GREAT ELECTRICIAN AS WELL AARON!!!!!
@the2ndairwick9186 жыл бұрын
This is an amazing setup. People should listen to the guy talk.. He clearly states that his truck is setup for two men.. that why two drills.. two impacts and so on. He has a single of a larger impact possibly half inch for the odd time he needs it. For people who don’t know anything about anything having a large chest on wheels or having to haul stuff you don’t need doesn’t make sense. He pulls up, gets his cart out.. probably has a bag to keep a few tools in so the don’t get lost with other materials he has. Selects the appropriate tools for the job that he knows he there to do and gets to work. If he’s running conduit or installing panels in bricks or concrete he can select the right impact or drill to install it. If one of his units goes down it’s probably worth it to him for 200.00 to have a back up impact and not be 2 hours round trip to Home Depot to get another. Or waiting 2 weeks for warranty. You wish you had this guy wire your house or business as the simple act of taking care of his things will be a good indicator of the details he will not pass over on your new house.

I showed this video to my wife for two reasons, I don’t have too many tools and my OCD isn’t too bad. Absolutely amazing set up. This is the guy I want to hire to do my work. You know he is going to pay attention to detail and make the littlest of things perfect. And when you spend that kind of money on tools it is nice to know they all have a home and easy to see if something is missing.

Great video......There are some things I would like to see additional video on. 1) Demonstrate the fold out wagon. 2) Demonstrate the fold out ladder racks. 3) More detail on the pull out slider organizers. 4) Show the slide out truck bed. 5) How you organize and carry your job site supplies such as wire, boxes, etc. 6) Do you use pails with a liner, pouches, or rolling toolboxes to get tools into the job site?

i'm a flooring guy that has a TON of stuff because i do almost everything and I work out of a van when i really need a box truck so i've had to come up with all kinds of ingenious ways to get everything I need in a standard van. I can def appreciate what he's done, I love this kind of stuff. Necessity is the mother invention as they say, you can work faster and more efficient when everything has a spot. Can't stand when I can't find something, I don't want to waste even 5 seconds looking for something.
@James-tr9eg6 жыл бұрын
His truck is organized like that because as he said in the video they usually work in 2 man teams. Thats why he has 2 of everything, because in short 2 people are faster than 1 and if your doing piece work the faster you go the more money you make. If you work hourly then it doesnt matter if all your shit is slopped into a back pack/packout system. I honestly like the set up and the fact that he can roll around with that much equipment/tools for a job shows that he's successful at what he does. Im sure when you own/run your own company you will understand why his truck looks the way it does.

Love it. Absolutely love it. I am pretty OCD about my work van as well. I too use the Home Depot hangars for my drills and other power tools. They work great and the tools do not move. I also have a Jet Rack ladder rack. Saves floor space for product and makes it easy to get it in and out. Love it. Really like your ideas on the pull out extension coord holders. That really finishes it off nice. Personally I don’t keep small tools on the shelves in my van. I use a really nice Chicago Case company military style tool box. Works great to keep them organized. Generally do not have to make any trips to the van when on site.

Right now on my job it isn’t very labor intensive for us Shit jockeys because it’s just before turn over....but at the steel mills working 12 hours on a pin stock that is so hot you can only stand on it for a few moments before it’s uncomfortable but you need to get shut done so you dance around until it’s finished. Yea we all( both union and non union, and all trades) bust ass for our checks and for the most part take pride in our work.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this guy's truck was this neat but his work was all sloppy and hacked up out in the field? Haha. I'm sure your work is absolutely impeccable with the greatest attention to detail 👍 You need to build a moat around where you park that truck at night. And maybe a couple of trap doors and a snare covered with leaves tied to a bent over tree. And some quicksand probably wouldn't hurt either.

I do commercial/industrial appliance repair & maintenance - and this is a great organized setup. Only downside I see is having to run in/out of the house to your truck just to grab a single socket, wrench, screwdriver, etc... And then if you grab all your wrenches or screwdrivers or sockets just to throw in your wagon, you have to basically re-organize and put back everything in its place. I prefer to have all my stuff on removable rails or setups where I can just pull them all down and throw them all in my bag on wheels

Also in some of the grades I work in, if you had that bedslide. You will not be able to pull that either everything will fly out or you just won't be able to pull it at all.
