If you have found the right instrument you can play it all day as in 8 until 8 with breaks to eat that is how I am with guitar.

This is funny to me I am kind of gruff I am a big man so the first thing most people learn about me is I am a combat vet and/or I run our church food pantry but when they learn I am teaching myself cello they do a double take and ask me about it well that is till they hear me play and realize I still like to torture people (joking I am happy with my progress) but so people see me and think cello when I say I am playing often I think about saying I play the kazoo. But I see the stereotypes from the other end.

Music is already hard enough to learn with an instrument you love, there's no need to complicate things further by trying to do music with something you don't feel compatible with.

Violins are good but beginners sound a little squeaky. I play cello and I don’t know why but most string players have smth against violas. It’s probably cus they have their own stupid clef that I have to learn how to read

As a guitar player bass player and sax player, if anyone I know wants to try to learn any of them I will let them barrow one of my instruments so they can see if they like it or not.
