Thank you so much for your video! I live in a neighborhood, rural area where there are a lot of loose dogs in the community. I installed this gate plus an electric fence on one side and traditional gate on the other and I’ve reclaimed my driveway! It’s been almost a year and my driveway is no longer the community litter box! The only thing I don’t enjoy are the surface scratches on the vehicles, but no longer having every dog in the community claiming my driveway with their shit and my packages not being peed on or eaten, is worth it! Also helps keep kids and curious adults out! Thank you for taking the time to do this video.

Yeah, my husband is installing a Deerbusters! Steel fence, oh my gosh. Nothing about this has been easy. Delivery was a headache, when things did get here the boxes were smashed, parts falling out so we knew it wasn’t all there. The instructions are awful, videos worse. He called to have them send the parts he needs- they came damaged, missing one, extra ones he didn’t need. Ridiculous. We spect about $3500 on this. It’s a 7.5” steel deer fence. No joke.

Noticed the install was more than a year ago. Is it holding up? How about delivery of goods, are they hesitant to drive in? We need to keep our guardians in an completely enclose the our perimeter.

I’m not convinced electric fencing works; my husband put a mini fence around a flower bed to stop all the neighborhood critters using it as a bathroom and I shocked myself about twenty times spring cleaning it. I’m sure the neighbors were entertained by my “dancing”!! Come to think of it it did keep the smart animals out. I was using a metal leaf rake.

I guess you get what you pay for. 🤷♀️ I'm not sure where you were looking. But I've seen the power open/close thingies you attach to gates, for only $60ea. Did you just not want to buy or build a gate to attach those to?
@PermaPasturesFarm213 жыл бұрын
There is no AC power where the gate is located so I would have to use a solar/DC system. I haven’t seen any for that price.
@lyndabuchholz12163 жыл бұрын
I don't have power is there a way to use a solar powered something like an electric fence power to use with this gate?
@PermaPasturesFarm213 жыл бұрын
That’s precisely what I’m using here. On the initial installation I used a solar charger.

@PermaPasturesFarm213 жыл бұрын
@@lyndabuchholz1216 it’s easy to miss. I attached the charger to the fence and then tethered it to the gate...but you could easily attach the charger directly to the gate alone.

@@PermaPasturesFarm21 Thank you I will watch again and see if I can figure it out. I need to keep the neighbors cattle out of my yard and still let the UPS man drive in and this seems like a good solution if the UPS man can go through.
