So when u unplug another owners car at the charging stations. Do you leave them open just like that or do you close the cap and the door for them.

I take it that the model you have doesn't have the heat pump or? If you have a heat pump, it will use a lot of energy initially, but once everything warmups, especially the battery, it uses very little to maintain the temperature.

Dear Dave, thanks for the excellent question. The model we tested here in the video actually has the heat-pump option (SA4T9, €660) . BMW says the heat-pump uses up to 50% less energy for heating, but we didn't have a chance to compare what that means in terms of actual range. The vehicle here showed a range of 167km on a 0°C winter day.

Thanks for the English video. this is the first review I've seen show that you can slide out of the front of the car to the other side without the middle there, very handy. also the spotify connection pairing. really helps with making a decision. my only question is can you open the doors electrically from the key or app so say you want to let someone into the back seats it will open the front door for them do they can just open the back suicide doors?

Hey man! Thanks for the feedback. Glad that you learned something new. The i3's scissor doors can only be opened by hand, not by remote control. You have to open the front doors first, in order to be able to open the rear doors. Are you thinking of getting one?

Thanks for the reply, that's what I thought. The only con is the bit of inconvenience with the back suicide doors for our use. Yes, It's my gf and I's top choice right now! Thanks again :)

Great! Very glad the video helps you get a better idea. I love the i3, and I think it is the best small electric car you can get, as long as the range is okay for you. Where are you based? We have special deals with BMW in Munich in case you are nearby :D
