I work for Volvo I build the cab part of the trucks. This is definitely a custom build because we don't build these style sleepers but the front of this truck we do. I would like to see this truck personally myself just to see what my hard work day after day has produced. I'm glad you like it and I hope it gives you many years of service. Enjoy

Coffee machine on the bench ~ a very important part of the daily routine !!! ~ a G88 Volvo available downunder back in the 1960's and 1970's was a reasonably good truck for it's time, but having said that Volvo has excelled over the years, especially down here in Australia and New Zealand with their Cabover models with Ishift transmissions and the horsepower of their engines exceeding 700+hp now with very little or no trouble at all. This certainly is something else with the studio sleeper, the wheelbase just blows me away !!! 🇺🇸👍😎👍🇺🇸 PS : I bet that rides like a dream !!!

my grandpa drove for 40 years and he once told me "they pay me by the mile, not by the pound. so the weight of the load doesnt matter to me in terms of pay....unless i happen to weigh in over what i am permitted to haul of course." I drive now and those words have lived in my mind rent free for all these years! Rest easy Papa!!!

I pulled household goods (mover), and we were paid by the mile, by the pound, and even by the cubic foot. Moving people is hard work, but the pay was insane.

I have no clue about trucks. But this Volvo is stunning and it looks pretty powerful. The owners were quite lovely and warm. Both have great taste in decorum. God bless them and their doggie too.

When the length law changed back in the early 80's a 120" was concerned "HUGE" and those sleepers were mostly behind a cabover in the beginning. Bedbuggers: (Household, Exhibit/ Electronics) were the dominant rigs back then. Knew a couple in North America Van lines crane fleet. Yep a sliding crane in a electronics van. They hauled large switch gear, computers, large medical equipment like MRI machines etc.

there was a place where i worked where we were always on hyper tight deadlines and this couple-team of drivers would get us out of messes if we needed something cross country by yesterday. see them 2-3 times a year. they ran east to west coast 24/7. they had motorhome of a truck. so sick. it looks like it may be overboard but they were fixing a lot of people's serious problems lol.
