Very much looking forward to this. I got my start in 3D printing with the Neptune 3, 3 pro, 3 plus and absolutely LOVED the printers. I moved to Flashforge and Bambu due to speed and core xy. Love seeing Elegoo moving to these as well now. Can't wait.

250 is almost standard now. They really should have pushed to 300 squared to be be more than competitive. Multi color is also must option as well. Non proprietary nozzles and a heated chamber as well.

Everything has some pros and cons. Personally, unless using a tool changer, I think that multi-color printing is a bit overrated, due to the excessive time and material usage. Might as well do some multi-part printing, and then some assembly. Also, 250 mm is more than enough for most parts.
@breedlofam
@breedlofam Ай бұрын
@@user-mf6qm3ud2u 9.84 inches may seem like a lot, but it really isn't (there's a joke in there somewhere). Sure, you can always slice things into multiple parts and glue them together, but why should you have to? 250 is the standard right now for most new printers. If you're trying to release a flagship, you exceed standards. Multi color will get better, faster...the more common it gets. The ability to infill with it has saved a lot of waste. Tool heads are getting smaller and more efficient, so I wouldn't be surprised to see multiple extruders running on the same tool heads pretty soon. That would cut a ton of waste while still allowing the case to not be excessively larger than the bed.
@user-mf6qm3ud2u
@user-mf6qm3ud2u Ай бұрын
@@breedlofam I think we have different perspectives, since I mostly print functional parts, and things I draw myself, I'm not so interested in multi-color prints. If big build volume and multi colour printing is important to you, then I completely understand your perspective. 😊

After seeing what Bambulab's machines offer, and owning a Flashforge Adventurer 5m, I believe there isn't much more Elegoo can do. The Adventurer 5m calibrates the table and z axis automatically and is very practical. What elegoo needs is a functional, practical and beautiful operating system to compete directly with Bamboo.

I think Elegoo can do more, the Flashforge and Bambu printers still have some upgrades they need to implement. Making the printer faster would be nice, adding a better high flow CHT nozzle, getting rid of the brass or stainless steel nozzles and just using hardened steal or bi metal nozzles by default, making nozzle changes seamless like what Bambu offers on the A1 series, adding a chamber heater, adding a better camera with a higher refresh rate, staying up to day with klipper firmware's or even making it open source, and most importantly making it a larger bed size of at least 300 cubed but 350 cubed would be so much nicer. Elegoo most likely wont do many of these things because they are more focused on budget friendly printers, but there are still a lot of improvements we need out of these printers.

It helps the newer elegoo printers have klipper to have better data and as well print faster so it is promising that they are integrating COREXY printer into the market for them and I wouldn’t doubt by December they announce a multicolor unit…gives them enough time to work out software bugs to feel comfortable Introducing it. 😊

That one feature would be having a printer that delivers a solid first layer out of the box. I think that there is always going to be a learning curve when it comes to 3d printers, they can make it easier and friendly but stil one needs to know which filaments, what temperature and which printsheet i think. Currently i am reading up on it as a beginner and have yet to buy my first 3d printer so i can wait a little longer to see how this printer is welcomed and how it performs. :) Thanks for all the informative videos, they are very helpful. :)

If it prioritize quality/uniformity rather than clocking benchys for faster times AND as other states - bigger volume (350mm cubed?) with some form of multi-material changer - it will definatly catch my upcoming budget planning. ;)

This is pretty cool. I think the main things I want from it would be really good quality prints over speed, and a non-proprietary nozzle. I’d really like a standard V6, M8, or Volcano. Cause I’d like to be able to use different nozzles and save up for a diamond back. And ease of use, something that is nice to use.

I'm excited for this printer but hopefully is right about making sure the printer was ready because the last few printers released had a lot of bugs and issues. I do disagree with you saying they need to have an AMS system to release. I think companies need to spend more time on QC and reliability over an AMS system. If a printer manufacture is having issues from day one on every release and the printer has a lot of failed prints, an AMS is just going to add more and more trouble to the users printing experience. I purchased the P1S then got the AMS later on, for 5 months I had zero issues with the printer and then I started having print failures using the AMS. The purge chute would clog, the filament wouldn't adhere to each other well, the quality of the prints are way worse when using the AMS, and its really been a bummer for me. I mean its great and the printer is still amazing but I think even Bambu needs to fine tune their AMS's.

Having a thorough quality control process and solid hardware/software is the most important thing of all. However, the market shows there is a demand for multicolor/multi material accessories. Without it, Elegoo is risking losing potential sales. They're coming into the coreXY market late in the game, so they also need something really special that others aren't offering.

I have two Bambu Lab printers, an X1-C and an A1, both with AMS. TO compete Elegoo needs to have a better price, first and foremost, and at least as easy to use and maintain as the Bambu Lab printers. Then an AMS that is equally reliable and easy to use and maintain. A license agreement with Lychee to have one slicer for both resin and filament would be a strong "nice to have." Hitting the market with a slightly larger printer, say around 300mm cubed would also be nice. Or maybe better yet starting with something at least 250-ish mm cubed, and then expanding the range into larger print volumes. I have had three of their resin printers and filling in the enclosed FDM line with the variations they provide for resin would definitely get my attention.

I want something that matches the Bambu X1 Carbon on features (including the MMS), is open-source, with a 350 cubed build volume and at least $200 cheaper. I'm willing to pay more for a 500 cubed volume at the same price as Bambu. It's also going to be interesting to see what Bambu launches next.

I just want them to continue to innovate an update the products they have released. Neptune 3 and 4 series received maybe 3 months of updates to resolve some issues, and then stopped any updates as they work on the next model. I’ve had 6 machines in the past 1.5 years from them. Low cost options to start, but if you don’t purchase the newest model released. You will be left behind based on their history.

this is a normal situation, with production scales in China, printers will be updated at a rate of 1 piece every three months, despite the fact that new models will be better and cheaper, in general, prepare money and forget about support , all firms there are already aimed at the next product , almost immediately after the release of a new one , there will no longer be such that the printer will be relevant for many years to come , but i love elegoo)

They need to go bigger in size and add multicolor. The 250x250 size have already been done, they are way to late to the game so it has to be affordable, unless it can somehow manage to surpass the bambulabs.

Spool holder on the right handside along with the filament runout sensor. +100 points to House Elegoo! But that's not a "game changer". Elegoo is entering a flooded Core XY market right now, so I'm hope they stay with using Klipper without their own interference. And I'm hoping they encorporate a heated chamber. Because unless they're hiding a multi color and material system, they've got nothing new to offer the market. A heated chamber to print engineering filaments like PC/ASA/ABS-GF/Nylon is the only thing that makes the Qidi Tech Q1 Pro attractive, and it's not its good looks!
@luciomachado9582

If they don't have anything new but make a high quality and cheap printer it is good to me. Many current fast printers lack in print quality. From what I saw in reviews, my Neptune 4 pro has better print quality than the Qidi Q1 Pro, Creality K1, and Flashforge 5M Pro. Apparently some Core XY machines are plaged with bad VFA and ringing. The K1C appears to be better. If the Elegoo Centauri has very good print quality (Elegoo had time to learn with the mistakes of other companies), is a little bigger than the K1C, and has a good price point, it could be enough for me.

Well, so far all I heard was a lot of marketing talk. Don't get me wrong I am happy we have another player in the game however I lost confidence in them as of late due to the issues they had with the Neptune series and Orange Storm Giga. The things I look for are a bigger build, open-source Klipper, and great print quality. So we will see I guess. I have quite a few printers and the only one I use right now is my k1. But I had to mod it to get it to what I want.

The Neptune series is fantastic quality for the money. The only one that has any issues is the Max and that suffers the same issues as any other 400mm bedslinger on the market. The Giga was rushed to market but has been pulled back for further development. The only people who had trouble with the Neptune printers are people who dont know how to use it correctly

Elegoo shouldn’t go on the multi colour BY/WITH AMS market, Bambu own’s it. And has it mastered. Elegoo has many issues with their last FDM printer like the orange giga, Neptune 4 max/plus I know many many people has no issues with this .. but has a fourth gen. We shouldn’t be seeing that level of issues on model printer.. Just like creality who’s lunching a new k1 version every 6 months when those first model have many issues. Copy paste my comment about the Neptune plus .. has a flagships printer, for a 1000$(cad) printer they should be flawless.. not have to flip is a side open panel and work the leveling manually because the printer is to bad to compensate… Be like prusa, focus on having the best, then try to innovate 🤦🏻‍♂️ Thanks for works! Like your videos !
