I have the X for over 2 years now and not had a problem with the tabs. I have done hundreds of cleaning with it, hope that helps

I've been mulling over getting this to replace my Anycubic Wash and Cure 2.
@TubaMakesАй бұрын
I haven't used that, so obviously I'm bias towards what I've used... but I'm about to buy a second one of these to have two buckets, one dedicated wash station, and one dedicated cure station. It's been working great for me!

@TubaMakes I though about doing the same thing myself.

What is the advantage of putting the build plate in the wash? I haven’t been printing that long so please forgive me if this is an ignorant question. It seems like the cleaning solution would get dirty a lot faster cleaning something with that big of a surface area. Does the resin eventually start to build up on the build plate. And can/should you do it if you use a flex plate?
@TubaMakes28 күн бұрын
Hey there! Excellent questions! I typically do not wash the build plate in the normal coarse of printing, however there are a few occasions where it's incredibly useful. The most useful in my opinion is when I'm running resin calibration tests. I want the tests to stay exactly where they printed so I don't lose track of which part was printed with what exposure setting. The second time I've found myself washing the build plate is when I have many small parts, like a plate full of 32mm minis. It's super easy to just wash the whole build plate and get them all done at the same time. It maintains spacing between the parts so you know the wash liquid is getting into all the nooks and crannies. You are 100% correct that washing the build plate with the parts will get the solution dirtier more quickly. I do a two step wash process as I now have two of these units. The first bucket is pretty dirty IPA. I occasionally filter this, but I'm not super concerned about it. I want this to remove the bulk of the resin. Then I'll remove the parts, remove the supports (as the supports can trap resin in places you don't want it to), and the second wash is of crystal clear new IPA. I print both minis and very large models, so I go through a lot of IPA if I don't follow this procedure. I do this whether I'm cleaning the build plate with parts attached, or if I've removed the parts. I wouldn't think it would matter if you have a flex plate or not.

@@TubaMakes Thanks for the concise and prompt reply. It was very informative. I have been having fun with the printer but it is amazing how easy it is to get started but how much there is to learn to get really good results.

Just to not mess with a goo. Clean workspace, clean buildplate, clean gloves. Also parts with small details are likely to be damaged if left swirling around in a washer freely as uncured resin is not so tough.

If it’s already too cold in the garage it’s going to be way too cold soon. Is there a plan to try to move it inside or are the fumes too much for that?
