Elementor Pro Loop Builder | GOOD NEWS!

The GOOD news is that the latest build of the Elementor Pro Loop Builder (currently a beta feature) has added support for dynamic content.
Now, we can easily add ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) information, making it a more useful feature for creating unique designs and layouts.
Is it as powerful as the likes of Elementor Custom Skin or JetEngine Listings?
No, not yet. But, hopefully, they'll add a lot more to the final version (fingers crossed).

Thanks for the update Paul - have tried this with ACF myself and seems to work well. Would be nice to have the option to make the columns equal height which seems to be missing currently. I'm also looking at what the options are for filtering the loops. I guess not much support currently whilst the loop builder is still in beta. I reached out to WP Gridbuilder who told me they will add Facet / filtering support once the loop builder is fully released and stable...

Yeah, it's still rough around the edges and needs to have some niceties added to make it truly useful. I don't see Elementor adding a filtering option into it though. From history, I think they'll leave that to 3rd party tools.

This is a great feature. Do you know if it is possible to add variation within the loop items? I would love for some to be larger than others. e.g. on a 3 column layout, you could have row 1: 3 loop items, row 2: 1 regular and 1 wider item, row 3: 1 extra wide item.

Hi, is there a way with flexbox to change text link colors like we used to do with columns? Sometimes when I am on a dark section i want my lighter link and the same with light sections but I can’t find how you do it without a bit of html

Don't forget that Elementor was released in 2016. And still no stable flexbox integration. And they force users into the cloud if they want to use Query Loop. What kind of strategy is that, please?

@@LeoMerkel just to clarify, the Query Loop isn't limited to the Cloud platform. It launched the experimental feature there but was released in the beta/devs edition on self hosted too. :)

It has an option but it doesn't seem to work. Select the container (loop item) > Layout tab > Container > Items > Justify content - Space Evenly

Partially! If you try to open up the template to create/edit as demonstrated in the video it just stalls and nothing opens. If you go through the template system and create your loop there, you can reference JetEngine CPT's and meta fields, but they won't display as currently you can only select Post in the query section, but on the page with the lopp widget, you can change that to your custom post type. A bit of a hack, but possible. This leads me to believe that other data and tools will be supported once released.

I mean I just want to edit the template I got for my personal website but once that is done I won’t need elementor pro anymore, I don’t even need a year subscription to do that lol! @@LeoMerkel, Mega Menu is what I miss the most, that's why I mentioned it. But I agree with you! In 6 years of development, good things have come and others very disappointing. The integration with WooCommerce, for example, does not yet allow the creation of a native QuickView. In many stores, there are those who use a Theme X or Y for this specific feature and Elementor for the rest. It's ridiculous!

Is it only me noticing that number_field price formatting is missing? This is an important point, no one wanted to understand that. At acf or elementor someone at some point has to implement this. In the meantime if you have a code snippet or an easy way to format numbers with acf and elementor. Share this solution massively. For example 9999£ will become 9,999£

It may be a better tool in some respects, it certainly won't be knocking Elementor and the massive userbase and budget they have for marketing and promotion off the top step anytime soon (if ever). Why? Because perception is more powerful than features and Breakdance has a massive uphill battle if it's going to make a dent in Elementor's userbase anytime soon.

I totally disagree. Breakdance is for Amateurs. Even Elementor is not a Pro tool. There are 20 features a professional page builder must have. Decide on your own which actual page builder comes closest. For me it's Bricks: 1. A Blank Div 2. Classes, Pseudo Classes, Pseudo Elements 3. Sections 4. Header & Footer Templates 5. Custom HTML Tags 6. Code Blocks 7. Repeater or Query Loop 8. Dynamic Data 9. Conditional Logic 10. Clean HTML Output 11. Flexbox 12. CSS Grid 13. Accessible Menu Builder 14. Reusable Components 15. Which clearly shows in which direction Elementor is going. Clearly not the professional way. They're after amateur users (like Breakdance) and have no big interest any more to sell their 1,000-licenses. With these guys they can't make money in their opinion. It's a pity because Elementor was on a good way. But nevertheless: other products will happily take the pro customers.
