Elena I love you and your videos and great to see how safe you're trying to be - promoting mask usage even when you exercise and being thoughtful even about not taking it down when others around! But.... am I being crazy or are you (and I mean... a lot of people) still BASICALLY carrying around like life is normal? Going to a bar with people outside of your immediate household? Even if you're outside, you take down your masks to drink and looked so close to them. I - like you - am really privileged to be able to work from home and I don't leave my house except for walks...and then I see you (and others) going to 3 different businesses in a day when they're so easy to avoid (working out from home, ...not working at a coffee shop lol)? You said you're safe as of a few days ago., but...you could've gotten it since then. ESPECIALLY if you're continuing to see people. I know people are going to hate on me for saying this and I am sorry to lambaste you when I know you're trying! But cases are spiking and I think you should be promoting a super lockdown mentality until we flatten the curve again. I think there are better ways to support small businesses AND keep their underpaid workers safe. (Again saying with love!)

You put into words everything I was thinking while watching this video. It sucks to criticize someone like Elena who is clearly so much more responsible than most people, but I'm kind of shocked to watch her showcasing herself doing things like going to a workout class, coffee shop and bar ALL IN ONE DAY when people are supposed to be easing back into lockdown mode. Literally none of those things are even close to being essential. :( I'm just scared, I guess. Definitely not trying to take it out on you, Elena!

People act like wearing a mask makes them invincible 🙄 Yes wear a mask but they're not 100% Covid proof, you still need to do social distancing! And maybe try not going to a gym, cafés, bars... It's a bit rich to joke about Karens not wearing a mask when you're otherwise carrying on with life as normal

I've noticed this even when she was still in California, and in NY cases are rising rapidly. I understand that shes promoting wearing masks cause it's important but gathering with others during the week isnt the best idea, its not recommended during this time. Covid is serious and she has been trying to wear her mask but then turns around and doesnt social distance when meeting up with others.

@@fairyfreak1 yep :) though I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it's with her roommates in an isolated cabin that they drove to (which the CDC says is pretty much fine if you manage to not see anybody on the way). it does look like a bunch of them though... probably one of her many "pods"

6:22 ELANA! GIRL! Don’t touch the front of your mask! That’s where all of the germs collect at!! 😟 I’m immunodeficient so I have to be eeeeextra careful, and what I do is pull it up or down by the strings around the ears. Just think of it as all of the germs that the mask stop are swimmin around right in the front where people often pull it up and down; them germs are just WAITIN to be scooped up. So it essentially renders the masks useless when it comes to the prevention of the germs if they are cross contaminated with our fingers/hands. ☹️☹️ Stay safe sister! 🤍 🕊 (Hey maybe you could pin this so hopefully a bunch of other people could see it too and spread the word. Spread words not germs(?)!!! 🥁 😬)

Can everyone just stop calling out on her, as if you yourself are perfect. She is a content creator and has to earn a living too, how many sitting at home vlogs would you(the people calling her out for going out) watch in a row? work from home for a corporate professional is different from a content creator, and if you are so thoughtful of the pandemic, please be kind enough to not bash people out with your criticism. She does have an idea of how the covid situation is around her, and she is not asking anyone to go out. As far as her going out is concerned, from what we can see she is careful enough and her job benefits from it and last but not the least, just because she is a youtuber and puts a part of herself out, please understand that you are no one to tell someone what they should be doing as a part of their job and life, and where they should be going. She is not asking anyone to go out and if you have such a huge problem see her go out: 1. ask yourself for how long would you watch a 'at home' video of a travel/beauty/life content creator. and 2. If you don't like seeing her go out, stop seeing her go out, it would be better than putting your negativity out in her space and making her confidence go down. And FYO, many of us who are sane and know the pandemic situation in our country/state, don't go out like fools because Elena goes out, we see a bit of the outside from her videos and hope for a nicer tomorrow. And hence I request the 'omg why you living your life like normal people' to live their life's however they want, but have the basic understanding that they don't have the place to tell a person let alone a content creator to not do their job a certain way or from a certain place. If you have understood your place as a subscriber good, if not, god help your idea of 'you being perfect' and having the authority to spoil someone's mental health. In this pandemic if you can be anything, please first be kind.

It’s really tough watching you for the most part carry on as if things are normal. Just because things are open doesn’t mean you have to go to them. You can support small/local business in other ways rather than potentially exposing yourself and food service workers to covid. If any place requires you to pull your mask down and isn’t essential you shouldn’t be there. That on top of watching you constantly hanging out with ppl outside your household first in California and now New York is super disheartening. Getting tested regularly is great if you can but don’t fall into a false sense of security getting them.
