I just finished my first semester at a new school and have found how difficult it can be to establish strong relationships with people, especially with those that don’t know my past; it can be daunting! i also was a chubby middle schooler and joined cross country as a sophomore in high school. i lost weight while running and while i loved the sport and being part of a team, but it's been hard over the past two years since graduating high school to feel like 1.) my workouts are enough/worthwhile because running was so intense and 2.) to be comfortable in my body as i've gained the weight back that i lost in high school. wondering if you feel the same way? loved this video it's so nice to see youtubers being so open :)

Elena, I’ve been watching you for over a year now and while you seem super nice, I still feel like there’s a barrier between the real you and the social media you. For example, when talking about your spirituality you state the facts about where you are with it and how you grew up, but we don’t get to hear how YOU feel about it. What did you like about growing up in your community, what didn’t you like, what are you realizing now, what do you still feel strongly about? It might be a Californian thing (I’m from there), as a way to avoid offending people or letting people know you too well in order to keep up a wall, but as an influencer there’s a level of trust that should be established. It doesn’t need to be about things like spirituality or other things you might not want to speak openly about, but take a page from Ashley’s content and share more of your opinions on things. Your ideas are valid and deserve to be heard, and it will encourage other girls and women to speak their minds about things!

At the same time, I think it's really healthy not to overshare and to keep some parts of your life just for yourself. You should only share at a level that feels comfortable for you, we love watching your videos but we're not entitled to know all your thoughts and every aspect of your life! I thought you struck the right balance here, but you should continue to do what feels right to you (and that may evolve over time!)

I think I understand a little where you are coming from with your spiritual beliefs. I am being raised in a pretty chill diverse Christian environment and I still hold those beliefs, but I'm still deeply thinking and trying to investigate into what it is I believe. I am a Christian but at the same time, I feel restricted by my beliefs mentally instead of fulfilled, if that makes sense. I think my 2020 New Year's Resolution will be to stay off the internet more and spend priceless time finding out more about who I am. I wish you all a Happy New Year! God bless!

I related to the part were you talk about living in your 20s and how en I’m in college in my last semester before I graduate, getting my associates degree. Rn I feel like I really want to take a gap year before entering the nursing program for my bachelors degree. To take time in traveling enjoying life and not rushing into things bc I feel like we have all the Time in the world to grow up and have adult responsibilities and also take time to study for my tese exam to get and I just don’t want pressure to study study and get admitted bc we have all the time in the world . So bascially I just want not to feel so much pressure especially from my parents who want me to go straight in bc of financial help so idk but just feel like putting it out there.
