This was from 11 years ago. It's been quite a bit of time. Just out of curiosity, did you keep the painting? Or, did you throw it away when you realized it was just a parlor trick, and the real "artist" is the mahout who is guiding the elephant's trunk while it "paints"?

@@alegriart Elephants in Thailand aren't starved, when they are young they're all over the place in public with a lot of tourists feeding them. They aren't even tied up. When the get into their teen years they are moved to the country because they can become dangerous when older.

Little do you all know are that these elephants get pulled from their mother at a young age and beaten/abused until they learn. What you also don't see is the trainers hand on the left side of the elephant guiding it by hit's trunk.You can see his hand in 1:00 DO NOT SUPPORT ABUSE OF THESE ANIMALS!

Ashley B no they dont do such horrible shit to these elephants.. alot of them and most are now born in captivity.. I found out that these elephants arent forced to paint .. some like to paint and other elephants dont and they are not forced to if they dont want to but they get treats for it as well. so its something to do for the elephant, instead of being forced in a small space like at a circus or chained up..

I don't like this. It suggests abuse. This is not natural for elephants to do. That means they must have cruelly dominated to practice and master this. It's suggest fear taught them. Not interest. It is too unnatural an activity. I might me wrong, but that is the feeling I get.

What's most strikin's the fact the elephant clearly pauses an' deliberates where t'put the strokes an' indeed if any more strokes're needed. This's even more noticeable when he writes the name because he clearly understands the rules o' formin' letters an' how even the cross strokes o' the E an A must be aligned with each other an' the midpoint curve o' the S.
