Aaah 'music rehabilitating their souls' . But it also shows that they can respond to music in a way that is similar to humans ; Peter the elephant is a great example of that ; he wanted to join in and play the piano too , him and his friend were dancing at one point . For too long we have abused and exploited animals ; denying their sentience and to justify that required ideas that they don't feel like we do / they are lesser than us / animal lives are not of the same value as humans ; same ideology was applied during slavery of humans . I was feeling really miserable yesterday and then I saw the vid of Peter with the piano and suddenly I was delighted and smiling ; this is often the case i find ; animals can uplift in a way that humans just can't . We need animals for a different level of interaction , we need animals to rehabilitate our souls.

@Magyar Telea I don't know how supporting Trump has anything to do with wildlife conservation, but I'm going to assume you meaning hunting in general. The biggest contribution to wildlife conservation are by huntsmen. The Theodore Roosevelt created national parks around the U.S. to preserve habitat and endangered wildlife (Bison to be specific), despite the President himself being a very famous and avid huntsman. In places like Kenya, hunting actually contributes to a major part of their economy (we're looking at hundreds of thousands dollars to hunt a single elephant) and the guides are highly trained . They pick either the oldest, sickest, or most dangerous animals to be hunted. And the ones that are hunted are 100% processed. Trophy items (Tusks, horns, pelts) are given to the hunter and the rest of the animal meat is either sold at a major discount to the public or donated to a local orphanage. Long story short, don't make a radical assumption without doing some research first.

@ariadams32904 жыл бұрын
@@Suleclo Of course it does lend more credibility to your claim if you actually do the research... While hunting elephants is now legal in Botswana, American sport hunters may not rush there because it’s unlikely they’d be able to bring their trophies home. In 2017, a controversy erupted after the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service decided to lift the ban on elephant trophy imports from Zimbabwe and Zambia. After President Donald Trump tweeted his dissatisfaction with the decision, the Fish and Wildlife Service reversed course and decided to evaluate all applications to import elephant trophies from all countries on a case-by-case basis. Since then, no permits have been issued. Botswana's government is considering lifting a ban on big game hunting, saying it might be necessary to prevent conflict with humans. Botswana is home to about 130,000 elephants - almost a third of Africa's elephant population - but some lawmakers say the number of elephants in the country is higher than that and causes problems for small-scale farmers. A committee set up by President Mokgweetsi Masisi to review the ban his predecessor set said it recommended "a legal framework that will enable the growth of a safari hunting industry and manage the country's elephant population within the historic range" and also called for "regular but limited" elephant culling. Former President Ian Khama, a keen conservationist, imposed the ban after surveys showed declining wildlife populations in the north. Masisi said he would pass the report on to the parliament before making any decisions. "If needs be, we will give the opportunity to parliament to also interrogate it," Masisi said. The ruling Botswana DEMOCRAT Party has been lobbying to overturn the ban, especially on elephant hunting, saying numbers have become unmanageably large in parts. In short, it's ultimately not up to OUR government to make that decision to ban big game hunting in a foreign country, but it's up to our government to ban the trophies from being allowed to be shipped here... President Trump has done just that

They kept standing there for three days and then they left again back to the bush. It's true, it happened about 15 years ago. Elephants are smart and they never forget what you do for them. ...yeah. I did. Is that a “no-no” on this channel? I hope not. The elephants appear to be a highly evolved soul group. I’m not saying that they don’t have members of their group that aren’t “newbies”. Because it appears that they do. But over all, especially the ones that have experienced trauma and would be part of these rescue groups.
@mashable87593 жыл бұрын
@@Crzydiamondz oh no no I'm saying that because people who have understood evolution don't then also believe in souls because its contradictory, in science there's no concept of souls. Of course Elephants are highly intelligent majestic creatures but if you believe in evolution then i idont know what you mean by souls.
@Crzydiamondz3 жыл бұрын
Interestingly put that way. I don’t believe in Darwin’s evolution, per se. And I think of our soul as, in a way, the container that houses our collective experiences of all of our incarnations, here on earth and maybe beyond. So I guess I don’t believe in “evolution of species” however I do believe in “evolution of souls”... but I do see what you are saying and I cannot say I had realized that conundrum before. Thank you. NO!! KILLING A ELEPHANT SHOULD RESULT IN THE PERSON THAT KILLED IT BE BROUGHT TO MY HOUSE SO THAT I CAN TIE THE SON OF A BITCH TO A TREE AND AT POINT BLANK SHOOT HIM IN HIS HEAD WITH MY AR15 ABOUT 50 TIMES.
I understand that elephants make these sounds when they feel comfortable or when something gives them pleasure. That is to say, they really enjoy when this man plays the piano, the elephants respond positively, it is a sound that pleases them to the point that they let out peaceful sounds. That man is worth gold.

If those noises were positive reactions to the piano then I am totally in love with elephants

This was lovely, I could tell they were really excited to have you play to them, squealing with joy! Maybe they were trying to sing to it. 💕

I guess the elephants are so stimulated and moved by the music that they can’t help but move around and vocalize, not dissimilar from how a new born writhes and coos when they find something stimulating and moving. Amazing stuff.
