It's rare that I feel *all* the lyrics to a song, but this one speaks to me so well; from the first word to the outro. What a creation.

Some bands make a lot of different songs and put them on the same album as separate entities and then you get this lightning in a bottle 🤷🏻♂️ I'm just in love with this one for sure

The only thing wrong with this song is that it isn't long enough. The main part of the song could easily last a 1 minute or 2 more. Absolutely brilliant song 🔥

I feel like the song is about aknowledging the madness of this world and finally accepting that there is nothing to save...we always start off projecting our wn innocence, but the more we live, the more we see that there are beings that dont seem to respond to love, (they dont even seem to need it in the first place)...once you understand that you stop to forgive or find reasons behind what seems to be completely absurd and immune to redemption. This is honestly the only song i like on this album. This album feels very empty, and is entirely lacking the profound lyrics and emotion provoking "feel" of their past music. Their last few albums were intense and amazing. Some of the songs literally had me in tears, and that actually means something. I am not of the new generation of "men" that believes in crying all the time and indulging every emotion/begging for sympathy for my weakness. I am old school "toxic masculinity" personified...i provide for my family and never show them the beating life is giving me....i WILL smile and i am ALWAYS fine. I strive to be their strong shoulder, and they would never feel comfortable crying on it if they saw it wet with my own tears.....but, in private, songs like Fade in/Fade out crushed me, and not breaking down wasn't an option. I cried for the first time in about 30 years, and the pressure that it released in me was honestly life changing. I will still never let my family see me do it, because what they need will always be more important than what i need. I wish more men would remember how to be men for the sake of their loved ones. The world needs sacrifice, and it is sadly becoming almost nonexistent in this world of Primadonnas, and self absorbed people standing in their own spotlight, demanding to be the lead character in every fiction they create, rather than understanding how important their perceived strength can be to help another soul thrive.
