Clarification: The low cut filter does NOT cut out background noise. Noise gates and noise filters cut out background noise. A low cut filter cuts out the low end so your signal sounds less bass heavy. Useful for voices that are mid to high range.

Great video! I added your filters and was blown away by how effective they are! The problem is my 30$ standard fifine microphone (with filter and boom arm) now sounds so much better i don't have a need to get anything better...

This was really useful thanks!!! I've nabbed the noise suppression and compressor settings and they've made a big difference. I'm using the Razer Siren x and while it's a really big improvement on what I had before, the one thing I wish I had was a digital mixer to marshal all of the various inputs. Currently everything is being captured as "Desktop Audio" so I have to change audio levels in all of the individual programs which is a pain.
@dj4391834 жыл бұрын
Im glad you liked the video! And im glad the filters helped you out, they make a huge difference in my opinion. The Razer siren x is a really good mic and i almost got that one actually lol and yeah, that was my issue, everything was running through desktop audio so to keep audio levels good for the viewers, i just had to deal with it being too loud for me. But wave link really helps out there and for me, is a total game changer!

I use the Blue Yeti Nano. I was doing some research when I first started my channel and I almost when with the Yeti. A lot of reviewers mentioned that the Blue Yeti is great for musicians, but the Nano is better for streaming and chatting. I haven't tried the Wave yet, but I'll have to give it a test run sometime!

You can use the yeti in WaveLink. Just add it as a channel. The thing is: you are forced to have the wave microphone plugged in. But there's no way to do it separately.

There is a noise very subtle in the Blue Yeti that the Wave doesnt have here, and I can't explain it exactly, maybe not a noise, but something your mouth is doing, it's on the high frequencies it seems.
@Mushoe3 жыл бұрын
In my expierence with the blue yeti i highly suggest any microphone over it because after a while at least for me it feels like the audio is not the same anymore and does not feel like what i bought before i recommend the wave 3 or wave 1 as i feel its better because of the software and i think it sounds better

Does the settings changed on the software stay when you're on a console? (for example, PS5)
@dj4391833 жыл бұрын
Everything should be the same since the settings are saved within the software on your pc. Now, if you connect your microphone directly into your console then you can’t use the wave link software and you can’t add filters like I do in obs.

Hey! Thanks for the video, it was very helpful, for real. I've been looking for a mic for work (google meeting calls during the day), using Linux. But do programming and repairing electronics streaming at night (Using Linux and Windows). Blue Yeti seemed to be a better choice for me. Since a friend who uses Linux recommended Blue Yeti, your video also says its a very ice mic and last but not least the specs are kinda better in some ways... Blue Yeti covers a better frequency range, even Elgato having a better sample rate. Also Elgato seems to may present a problem working on Linux if its extremely dependent on software.
@pjubo3 жыл бұрын
in my opinion the yeti sounds better, the elgato has a really sharp sound and the high tones of your voice just completely disappear. However the Yeti pciks up a broader array of tones and makes your voice sound much better.
