+Ron Wilson Just a correction. When you stated "people fund his hobby". That is not correct. Mr. Elio has stated that he still needs $300 million dollars BEFORE production can start. So the money given by the people, doesn't appear to pay for anything. Not even a promise of a vehicle. The reserve contract states that Elio doesn't have to give them ANYTHING! So, everyone that give Elio money, please send me money and we will take a world tour, before we take a trip round Jupiter and then landing on the moon.

I cannot imagine every challenge, barrier to entry, and red tape it takes to pull this off. I can understand how hurdles have caused delays and changes to plans. I am a Integrated Supply Managment major from Michigan and would be interested in contributing to Elio if the opportunity arose. Hey guys, I use to run welding robots at various points on the line for a solar panel manufacturer. You are going to need maintenance guys for these things, when they go down, they go down and the whole line comes to a halt. You are going to need - I'm guessing - one maintenance guy for every 5 to 10 welding robots and those guys don't come cheap, I think it is at the $20 per hour area regular time to start.

FOUR prototypes have been completed and publicly shown since 2013. One Engineering model is now completed and on its way to one of the suppliers (brakes) to configure their part in the production development. It's a step by step process. There are so many details here, this is going to take a lot of people and a group effort. Have you ever been inside of a high tech manufacturer building before? I have put my deposit down, I have my reservation, I believe and support this. I have many years experience in multiple companies in american high tech manufacturing both as temp and permanent, HAAS, Solarworld, various other supporting companies. What company is going to churn out those powder coated body panels? Do you have the welders, grinders, powder coaters, ovens assembly line just for the panels in house?

You will see "the activity of an actual alive factory" when sufficient start-up funding is secured and applied to the current step-by-step (ongoing) stages of research & development through to the actual production beginnings. The first 4 of 23 current Engineering models are under construction - one, the E1A, is completed and on its way to a supplier for (braking systems) evaluation and configuration. Then after more such evaluations & configurations are completed - enough to finalize the designs and the layout of the pre- production assembly line (anticipated to be) in December - the assembly of 100 pre-production models to be sold to Fleet customers can begin. These will provide real life, on-road performance and endurance results which will further evolve the development toward the final production assembly line setup. It's all a step by step progression of investment - and of doing the work - which is almost never revealed to the public. That is how a start-up production development works. Enjoy the view.

Ok, guys here you go. It looks like production is now pushed out to 2019, forget 2018 & today it's only August 2017. (See article below) Elio Motors is going public in an attempt to raise money. The financially troubled startup auto manufacturer plans to offer common stock on the NASDAQ starting at a penny a share, according to its latest filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Elio said it’s pushed back production to 2019 - five years after its three-wheeled vehicles were supposed to start rolling off the assembly line at the former General Motors plant in Shreveport.

Elio has greatly changed the video that it had posted. I went through the prior video, point by point, as to what appeared to be missing systems,electrical,,fire,mechanical systems and what appeared to be safety/operational metal stacked for scrap, as well as Elio blurring the video, in what appeared to be hiding parts of the plant. It appeared to me as if Elio was cannibalizing parts of the plant. Elio has deleted my point by point concerns and questions. Why? What is Elio hiding?

Interesting; BUT he failed to mention WHERE the 'Elio Motors ENGINE Facility' will be located. Where the 1,000 engines PER DAY will be Built, Assembled, and Tested! No such facility EXISTED in the Shreveport Plant, since 'completed' engines were 'shipped' in and installed. He also failed to mention at which phase the ENGINE and TRANSMISSIONS would be installed in the frames. An interesting 'omission'!

keep going, I greatly look forward to mine. I keep seeing people that are skeptical or very hateful. I know that I don't know everything and that hope is something that sometimes is what is all anyone has to keep moving forward. I wonder if people are hateful because they either A: don't like change (3 wheeled designs have been around for a long time, old prop fighter airplane companies made them to use similar designs as well as cheap and other benifits, check the history channel. so not actually a new idea), B: don't like others succeeding (I hope this isn't true), C: think that something has to happen inside a short window in our minds to be real (there are lots of legal crap to go through to not only have large amounts of property with heavy equipment but also more for vehicle manufacturing, and to employ loads of people. so it is more of the legality that is slowing them down. Paul didn't have a business before so there is no business experience until he experienced and read about it. so relax, be patient, and be nice. and I am sure that isn't the only thing that makes starting a business hard and time consuming. Henry Ford didn't build the Ford company and start selling his vehicles over night, and he didn't have anywhere near as much legal stuff to go through, wasn't trying for mileage and cheap, didn't have as much safety equipment he had to install. it literally was a wooden box with an engine, transmission, axle, and wheels), D: they want attention (as sad as it is this might be the usually reason, if they are being honest). how about this to those that dislike it, don't bother watching the videos and don't bother commenting. why deal with things that increase stress, anger, and other unappealing emotions? a saying that I grew up with is: "If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all". Why bother developing Elio engine when you can buy assembled one. Just start putting cars together first, make ball rolling. Then, company can advance and improve. It seems Elio made a first step, and now trying to tackle steps 4 and 5 while skipping 2 and 3.
