@@minhkhangtran6948 The Line can go to blazes. I had the same issue with FarCry 5's 'conditioning' mission, and while I never played WoW, it sounds like the torture quest line Jingles mentioned is similar: where the games *force* the player to do highly questionable things to continue, things that a savvy player would be suspicious or hesitant enough about that they'd look for some other way to take care of business. The games, though, allow no other option than to do something terrible, and then have the gall to go all "My God, you monster, what have you done?!" once you finish jumping through the hoops they'd set up as your only way forward. That said, it's absolutely hilarious looking through the comments on YT videos for the song 'Only You'. Half the comments are people reminiscing about dancing to it at weddings decades ago, and the other half are asking if the rookie is feeling all right, or screaming "PURGE THE WEAK". The consequences of the AI (or players for that matter) doing illegal things is virtually nonexistent. And for another matter, I'm fairly certain there are no counter-missions for some of these mission types - why can't you ALSO have the option of escorting/protecting the protesters? These are legitimate questions that should be asked not just from a social justice standpoint but from a roleplaying perspective as well.

Whilst I understand sentiments about how missions such as this may impact the victims of real world parallels. The truth of it, these are games, in the universe of which this stuff occurs, you cannot censor realistic human actions in a game and not inherently change the universe's. As an extreme example, it would be like saying 40k should remove servitors as the issue of slavery is once again at the forefront of social issues. Story telling, whether it is in videogames, films, comics, music or books needs to be treated with a disconnect, unless the intent is to cause harm with that story, it is simply a matter of if it upsets you do not expose yourself to it. People attacking media for stuff like this are the idiots who spout everything should be accessible to everyone, which is true, but it only has to be accessible to everyone with an interest in that particular media.

Whenever you start engineering a new ship or module centrally located engineers like him at least allow you to get the experimental upgrades onto the modules you are working on. You can't remote engineer experimental upgrades so it could save you a few dozen jumps trying to upgrade a new combat build instead of flying all over the bubble and back JUST for experimentals on everything. My support for speaking up Jingles. Left vs. Right is a political debate that can be handled in a civilized fashion. In the 90s we were perfectly capable of it. Killing people for no good reason is not even political, really. It's a crime like any other. If the Police kills, basically, more people than it saves, it has failed at it's mission profile.

Jingles, a lot of people make this game a roleplaying game. If your commander doesn't like the idea of this, you don't have to do it. This has nothing to do with real world politics or the riots.
@PwnzratorX7X4 жыл бұрын
It's pretty dumb to worry about this honestly, you're able to play in the wrong in the game and nobody thinks that's something worth calling out. You can play an assassin, you can play an honorable bounty hunter, you can play a fucking crooked business owner. Whatever you want. Nobody thinks that's worth calling out and it's dumb to make it sound like you're going to get hate for it.

Jingles, you probably know this by now, but I thought I'd mention you don't have to destroy any Thargoid ships to get their sensor fragments. There are several Thargoid ship crash sites in various different places where sensor fragments can be found and collected. I think CMDR Exigeous has a couple tutorials about it on his channel.

For those following along at home: you do NOT need to fight thargoids to get the sensors, just read fox's guide. There's a crash site on a planet where you can just go and pick them up. (HIP 17403 A 4 A at the coordinates -34.98, -141.30)

1. Scan the ship 2. Locate and scan the data uplink 3. Scan a Turret to unlock sub-targets. Sub-target will provide a guide to the generator to be destroyed. Most mega ships have more than one turret. Disable one and the others can still shoot at you

The Mighty Jingles, I've been following you since War Thunder (really miss those days) along with your narrated WoT and WoW videos. Now (I'm not a founder) you are actively playing one of my favorite games. I've been sharing on Facebook where my friends and family are enjoying your current exploits/adventures. Keep doing what you're doing, get work, well done...

I remember that one time I infested the population of several planets with mind-control (and ultimately, mind-erasure) nanomachines over the course of a game of Stellaris. I remember making the USA a literal fascist regime with ambitions of world domination in HOI4. I remember randomly slaughtering the populations of towns in Skyrim for the hell of it. None of these have any bearing on reality whatsoever. Just remember: ultimately, good or bad, our actions in games affect only pixels. You're not slaughtering protestors, you're blowing up pixels on a screen. The only way it has anything to do with it is if it encourages you, the person, not just the player, to do these things in real life by trying to hide it and portraying it as a good thing. In that game of Stellaris I knew exactly what I was doing when I selected the "Driven Assimilators" civic. The Free American Empire was explicitly labeled "fascist" and I had to fight a civil war to get it, with a casualty counter ticking up as I did. Even though I reloaded afterwards Skyrim didn't try to pretend that what I was doing was anything but evil.

As luck would have it, after watching this video, I got a mission to buy some supplies, which had 8 Modular Terminals as a potential reward. Having seen what happened to TMJ last week, I made sure I took them, however I have a question. I now have 8 less cargo spaces in my ship. Is it possible to "save" these modules somewhere else other than as onboard cargo, that doesn't risk having them blown to atoms if my ship gets destroyed?

I think it is a good thing to touch on irl in a case like this. Morality in videogames is an interesting topic, and can be a part of the role you choose to play in that game. I certainly avoid doing many things in games because it is not a line of action I want to pursue. Part of that I guess is roleplay and part of it is that I'm just not interested in it. Evil is seldom done well in games and tends to be much less rewarding, mostly because there is the misunderstanding that good/evil are things that actually exist and are not just opinions. The interesting things always happen in the grey area anyway.

"Pane Pleasures group cruiser, get it?" All to close to reality. No joke: My childhood dentist was "Dr. Payne." I'm not kidding. Insult to injury: I was maybe as old as 8, I don't remember precisely, he had to reschedule my appointment because he shot himself in the foot while duck hunting. Dr. Payne was in too much pain. When I did finally see the film version of "Little Shop Of Horrors," the irony was just too much.

I am really unhappy about some of your pronouncements in this video. 1. "Many of the protests were met by extreme police brutality"? Have you not read how many UK police officers were injured by your so-called peaceful protesters? 2. You claim that "humans are considered one of the good races in D&D". To quote from the 5th Edition Player's Handbook, "Alignment. Humans tend toward no particular alignment. The best and the worst are found among them." I think you might be incorrect in your claim. These are really not up to your normal insightful standards. (Edited for a little politeness once I'd calmed down. If anyone saw my original rant, I apologise. I'll blame lockdown cabin fever.)

It looks like they fired just after you attacked, which there was still time for them to react before you destroyed the power supply. Then nothing of course, with no power hehe You do bring up a good point. How it makes you feel. I just think games going forward may not opt to put those in, unless it specifically follows the game theme. Although, passed games shouldn't be touched and I honestly don't believe future games should be restricted except to when it comes to ratings of the game. They've shown many times over the years that games doesn't equal real life and all the times they've tried would happen regardless of games. We're human, there will ALWAYS be people pushing the boundaries of EVERYTHING. It's how we progress, but it's also how we regress, fine line of what and how we test those boundaries. ahhh, the suspense! Another great video Jingles! =)

There is one rule to live by: Never ever apologize for what you believe is right thing to do. If you cave in, not only you end up shitting on your own dignity, but it will never be good enough anyway, to people who demanded an apology. Stand tall, or die trying.
